  1. Love this!!!!!As soon as I saw this post, I was reciting Edward Lear’s poem, “The Owl and the Pussy Cat.”

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea
    In a beautiful pea-green boat:
They took some honey, and plenty of money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
“O lovely Pussy, O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
    You are,
    You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!”

    • We do think of the poem. Laurie translated part of “The Owl and The Nightengale” in her Middle English class this semester. The owl and the pussy cat make a better pair. Thanks, Rebecca.

      • Many, many thanks for “The Owl and The Nightingale.” This was the very first time that I had heard of this poem. Since reading your comment I have been on a mini research on this piece. THANK YOU!!! I continue to learn and learn and learn. You just made my day!!

      • You are welcome, Rebecca. I’m happy I introduced you to it. It’s a great poem.

  2. I love all the pictures. The owls remind me how fast time does fly. The owlets are already so big!
You know how much I love seeing the cats…and the bonus bunny. 😸🐰🙂

  3. A beautiful menagerie, the owl’s ability to find such a wonderful camouflage habitat is amazing! So many beautiful eyes, the Owlets and the pussy cats , never seen such gorgeous eyes. Love the sky and I can make out an image but I don’t what it is. The bunnies are adorable.

    • Thanks, Holly. They all have beautiful eyes. The owls were made for the cottonwoods. The bunny is a sassy little thing.

      • Nature is amazing. Camouflage is fascinating. My lizards can change colors in a flash. Along AIA ( a 28 mile stretch to the keys) is a two lane road with mangrove and a , let’s say 6 ft. Stretch of grass that is filled with rabbits but only at sunset when they come out to eat. It’s amazing how many there are! So much fun

      • That reminds me that when we went to VA to train Park Service staff on software we wrote for them with my programmer from Bosnia. There were scads of deer along the roads in the evenings. My programmer had never seen deer before, so I had to take her out to drive around every evening to look at the deer. I tried to explain to her that deer where like giant mice in VA.

      • Lolol! That so reminds me of my Dad’s (RIP) story of the New York woman who did not know what a cow 🐮 was. I mean , really????

      • You probably don’t see too many cows in NYC. But still? You would think she would have seen photos of cows or at least pictures of cows from nursery rhymes. Like the cow that jumped over the moon. She might not had ever seen the moon either.

  4. Fascinating, the owls and cats faces have some shape in common.

I have fun with the clouds, because first I see a big fish coming, than an old guy speeding away on a lawn mower tractor and at least a playful puppy, laying on its back.

    • Wow! You did see a lot if the clouds. Excellent. The great horned owls are very cat-like especially with their ear tufts. Thanks, Heidi.

    • They really do check everything out. Happy to provide you with a kitty pic fix. Thanks, Maj & Sher.

  5. A beautiful assortment of clouds and critters, Tim, and I am glad to see all three wowlets sitting up together. The cats are gorgeous, and the bunny is cute. We see very few rabbits here, but there are a lot of hawks, foxes and coyotes about.

That is an interesting space alien face in the clouds. The other photo has some thing there, but I am not sure what to call it. Maybe an orca head.

    • I think the bunnies hang out on our property because the ghost dog keeps them safe. Good vision on the clouds. Thanks, Lavinia.

  6. What a wonderful mix. Those owlets are simply adorable with their still-fuzziness.
Bonus bunny and lovely kitties are so sweet.
The middle picture of the cloud almost looks like a horse’s face… if you don’t look too long 😉

  7. Wow! A compliment of cuties. Those wowlets sure grow fast. I guess they will be flying soon.
The cats are all adorable, and beautiful.
Kiss Spunkie-Poo 💋 for me…or at least pet him.
Is he still wearing that collar?

    • He gets a new collar every three weeks. It helps calm him down a little. Thanks, Resa.
