It’s raining tonight, so I didn’t get out for sunset photos. We have received 3.20 inches of rain in September as I write, and we still have a steady rain. We have not received this much rain in a month in years.

When Jake and I got home from our walk in the rain last night, the rain gauge showed 1.75 inches for the month. When I left for my walk at 5:25 this morning, the rain gauge showed 1.84 inches. When I got home at 7:00 it showed 2.0 inches. The rain gauge currently shows 2.71 inches of rain for September. It’s been several years since we received that much rain in one month. It’s supposed to rain Thursday and Friday, also. It seems Super El Niño may have finally arrived.

The north flood control arroyo I have to cross to photograph the green slime had floodwater flow bank to bank from the last heavy rain.
It looks like the dam I stood on to photograph the green slime washed out. It was too muddy to walk in the arroyo this morning to get a close look.

I went to see The Warning tonight at the NM State Fair. The Warning is a rock group made up of three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Dani: guitar and vocals. Paulina: drums and vocals. Alejandra: bass guitar and vocals. The concert was excellent.
