Spunk Eyes

Jupiter, Venus, Crescent Moon, and Mars

Sunrise

Spunk eyes me at bedtime. A nurse asked me if I feel safe at home during a pre-doctor visit screening yesterday. I told her “Yes!” I might have lied to her coming to think about it.

Sunset

Owlets after sunset. The second photo is of Mama Owl blinking a moment before she took flight. As you can see there are three little faces.

  1. The owlets are really growing.
Of course I love Spunk, as well as the other images.

    • Thanks, Susan. I heard Mama fed them a rabbit before I got out there tonight. Then she was off looking for more. It’s a lot of work to keep those owlets fed. Spunk is very reassuring giving me mad kitty dogs while I’m lying in bed before turning out the light.

  2. I was counting the little wowl heads. There are three! Mama Wowl has done a good job. The sky is beautiful. Still too many clouds up here today, but the play of shadows and light was gorgeous. We had many passing storms.

Spunk has you in his sights, for sure. I can see his wheels turning. 🙂

    • Spunk is so pretty Timothy
Those are some great shots of kitty.
Owl found the perfect camouflage for the babies.
You have a doctor on call for home visits?
I like the display of colour in the clouds.

      • Thanks, abvr. No home visits from the doctor. It’s difficult to get doctor visits of any kind anymore. The nurses always as if you feel safe at home during their pre-visit screening.

      • You welcome Timothy. Oh I was also quite surprised since the are very few that still do on-call home visits.
So the nurses still come around ?

    • Thanks, Lavinia. It’s cloudy here this morning so I didn’t get the first conjunction of Jupiter and Venus. Hopefully it will be clear on Friday for the second conjunction.

  3. Nice pics! Like the golden sunrise. I used to live on the 5th floor with a western exposure and plenty of horizon and sky, and took hundreds of pictures–all alike, all different.

  4. You better keep watch on Spunk, I think he has some devious plans behind those eyes. I was just asked that very same “do you feel safe” question in my latest office visit. I thought about the Halloween clown props currently lined up in my basement and had to force out a weak “yes” – god knows what would happen to me if they found I ratted them out!!

    • One time a nurse asked if I felt safe at home. I said yes. Then I said “Do I feel safe here? No!” She was taken aback a bit. Thanks, Brian.

  5. LOLOLOL!!! Q – How adorable is Spunkie-Poo 💋?
    A – Amazing adorable!
Do you know the song “Eyes Of A Stranger”?
Now, I’ve got that song riffing in my head… but Eyes Of The Spunkster.

  6. The photographs are beautiful. Your cat is pretty sweet you can tell how much he loves you, so I think you are probably safe. Seeing the owls is a gift. The little owlets are so sweet looking out of their nest so carefully. Every time I see a photo of the owls one of the things that comes to mind is how intuitive earth’s beautiful birds are indeed. The color of that tree matches them to the point that many of your shots of the mama and daddy owl I would have never seen. Such a gift!
