Bloody Beaver Moon / Contrails Gone Wild

Dawn anticipates the violence of the sun

Contrails mark the night sky as they are blown, and reshaped into apparitions.

The beaver moon shining bright, and full of itself, rises in anticipation of becoming a bloody beaver moon in the wee hours of the morning†.

The above photo is only representative of the blood moon that will happen almost 8 hours after this post’s posting.

†There will be a full eclipse of the moon in the wee hours of the morning on 11/8/22 that will be visible from my location starting at 1:00 am. The full eclipse will be at 3:59 am. The moon will set before the eclipse ends at 6:56, close to sunrise.

Jupiter In Opposition

Jupiter (lower left) is in opposition to the sun tonight. The earth is between the sun and Jupiter, and Jupiter is closer to the earth tonight. The last time Jupiter made an approach this close to the earth was in 1963 (59 years ago). There might be a conspiracy in the 1963 approach and apposition. Saturn (upper right) looked on.

This rose is a great representation of aging.

Sirius is the bright star in the center third of the photo below Orian’s Belt.

A closer view. I don’t know what was making the streak to the left of Orian’s Belt. It changed position slightly from the first shot.

Jupiter is in the lower right at the treeline.

Mars, The Pleiades, and Uranus are aligned.
