Can you find Jupiter and Venus?

Jupiter and four moons

Jupiter and Venus are easier to see in the above photo.
Hopefully Lone Owlet doesn’t make the same mistake Little Owlet did. The photos are beautiful Tim. I did the the moon, Venus and Jupiter up here last night.
I think it will stay in the tree. Thanks, Lavinia.
All kinds of shots today Tim. I bet those owls had a good slumber with their bellies full of squirrel. Looks like that coyote pup is still hanging around..clearly driving its mom crazy ha.
That is one of several coyote pups hanging around. Their poor mom looks really tired. Thanks, Brian.
Lots of wonderful shots and I’m glad the lone owlet got to eat some squirrel but I can’t stop thinking of the brother or sister. Do we know how she/he is, Tim?
I asked the rescue to give me updates on the owlet. It’s in the care of the raptor team. If I get updates, I’ll post them. Thanks, Cindy.
Ohhhhh good, I hope you get them and I hope he can return to his family. Sending good wishes for the cute lil one.. maybe they can tell you if he’s a he or a she and you can name him/her.. Thanks for posting if you get word❣️
Ah….the food chain…….
For sure. And seven years ago, Resa mentioned she was “Freaking on the food chain!” and I recorded a jam of the same name: https://wp.me/p1yQyy-4eC. Thanks, Shey.
Offf to listen….
Mudback of Notre Pond……yes!
Pam
Happy you caught that one. Thanks, Pam.
I see you caught the Galilean moons, nicely done. Sometimes hard to do since Jupiter is so bright. My wife can actually see them unaided, I need binocs or a telescope to find them. How is your rescued owlet doing at the, er, owl rescue?
It’s had to see the G mooms without binoculars, telescope, or long lens out here because of the light pollution from Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Thanks, Brad.
Ooh, I love the pink sunset!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Fantastic images and variety Tim. Too many great ones to pick a favorite. 😊
Thanks, Brad.
Always beautiful. The coyote pup is so beautiful. The sky is always amazing. Anoher beautiful day in your neighborhood.
Thanks, Gigi.
😊
Lucky they were eatng squirrrel. Last week I was eating barbacued guinea pig. On the plate he looks at you with with his beady eyes, his thin legs raised above his little head, looking as if he is ready to surrender.
I know they like guinea pigs in Peru. I knew a geography professor who had lived in Peru for many years. He said he went to a pet store to buy a guinea pig, and when he went to the checkout, the clerk asked him why he wasn’t buying food or a cage for it. He said he was going to eat the guinea pig. The clerk was horrified and refused to sell it to him. Thanks, Geoff.
Suri are even more interesting…..big fat juicy worms!!!!
Mudbacks, my favourite Mallards and owls. Cheers!
Mallards for you, the Mallard Man! Thanks, Inchy.
Mallard malarkey. So miss visiting them. Cheers, Tim.
Poor squirrel. Happy Owl.
Well, I didn’t invent the food chain. I love squirrels, and owls and now I fell in love with old bats. xx
You were the original Freaking on the Food Chain. Thanks, Resa.
YES! I remember! Thanks for the reminder, Tim. The food chain is a constant reminder of… freakiness.
An owl killed the baby’s hadeda on my property some time back. Predators have to eat but it’s a little sad sometimes. Gorgeous pictures 🦉🐿️🌛
Like Resa said for the score, seven years ago, “Freaking on the food chain!” Thanks, Robbie.
