That’s Daddy Owl. He is well known on this blog. He and Mama Owl have raised five sets of owlets that I have documented every year since 2017. Thanks, Bruce.
One of my fav things about loving in OR is the fall colors, there are so many brilliant shades and hues present. It always inspires me. Lovely photos, Tim.
It does look beautifully autumnal there, and it is good to see an owl again. I love those Sandias in warm autumn light with the river in the foreground.
The opening image with reflections on the Rio Grande is very nice. And as an owl fan, it is good to see Daddy Owl back in your post! The brilliant red of the vines provide a nice contrast to the understory. Thanks for the share of this fall gallery, Tim.
Ooooo La La!
Stunning, Tim.
There’s gorgeous fall colours here, too. They peek out over, or between buildings.
I’m a bit stunned how cool it gets where you live. Does it go below freezing often?
Beautiful countryside shots, but I have my eye on that wise ol’ owl! We used to have one live nearby us, and it was fun watching him watch us.🦉

I was wondering if the owl was one of the family you’ve been photographing!
Daddy and Mama oels have been hanging around hooting up a storm during the night and early mornings. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Hello, Daddy Owl. Nice to meet ya.
Awesome set.
Thanks, Bruce.

Our colors tend to be more on the yellow side with a bit of orange and a little red in some of the vines. Thanks, Jeff.
Ah, yes, we have lots of yellow and oranges, yet many red hues too. Welcome, Tim.
Beautiful, all these shining autumn colours and Daddy Owl!
And Daddy Owl. Thanks, Heidi.
These pictures are very striking, Timothy.

Glad you have yours and share them with us.
That would be a hoot for you.

It gets below freezing every night from November into March. The temps drop below 0ºF from time to time.
Huh! At least it’s mostly at night.
Here, it’s day and night.
Brr, I want to be with you… lol!
It rarely stays below freezing during the day in the winter. The dryness makes the sun feel warm when it’s in the 30s and 40s.
Nice!
Hey Tim, so good seeing Daddy Owl again! Great autumn colours …
Thanks, Julie.
Wonderful colors and I am always happy when I can see those famous owls.
Thanks, Brian.
