Moon got caught in black lace trees trying to shine through the clouds last night.

Dawn was quite colorful.

Sunrise was drab

Cottonball clouds at 9:00

Thick clouds at noon

Cranes at 3:00

Gray sunset at 5:00

No moon is seen through thick clouds over black lace trees tonight.
I enjoyed your set of beautiful photos, Tim! You have some very expressive skies down in NM. I did get to see the waxing moon last night, surrounded by a halo. Overcast and fogged in all day today with a high of 45. No moon viewing tonight.
Thanks, Lavinia. We got a little rain too.
Tim, striking sky comparisons. Each one a beauty all its own. Never see anything like your skies in SoCal. 📚Christine
Thanks, Christine.
These are amazing cranes are flying high. This colorful sky was so pink. Anita
Thanks, Anita.
I do love those black lace trees.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Black lace trees…. Love that description! Beautiful skies.
Thanks, Holly.
No gray is the same though and all grays have beautiful layers and cameo colors. I’m enjoying with the cranes! 😉
Cameo colors! I like that. Thanks, Marina.
😉
You di indeed have beautiful skies, TImothy.
The gray is a major storm sweeping in from SoCal.
Thanks, Danzig.
Looks a bit like our skies at the moment Tim , just after Noon.. We are in the midst of Storm Pia, Rain and Gales..
Hang in there. Thanks, Sue.
It’s so rare for you to have more than one grey sky day! It feel like you’ve been visiting us! And yet, you manage to find the beauty. Lovely, Tim.
Thanks, Dale. It’s gray again this Solstice morning. Only 9.75 hours of daylight today. Less where you are.
If I look at my weather app. we get pretty much the same amount. Sunrise at 7:31 and sunset at 4:13.
I was off a little we get 9 hours 48 minutes of daylight today: 7:10 am – 4:58 pm. You get 8 hours 42 minutes of daylight today. Roughly three quarters of an hour less than me.
I thought it was off. And I counted it too quickly, knowing mine was about 8.75 (give or take) 🙂
Time calcs are tough to do in yer head. Brain boggling before coffee.
This is true!
Well done Tim. I miss having open vistas to watch clouds and sunsets.
Thanks, Brad.
I think trees look their very best in your photos, Tim.
Thanks, Rebecca.
A great interesting selection here, Tim. Thanks.
Thanks, Inchie.
My pleasure, Sir.
black lace trees provide quite a contrast❤️
Are those grey days producing some water at least down there for you?
Yes. We have received 0.95 inches of rain this month. Thanks, Brian.
Still, looks better than Toronto grey.
Honestly Tim… dark… grey… for days.
We might get some peekaboos of sun this week,…. maybe. xo
We’ve be mostly sunny since then. 0.96 inches of rain for December. Thanks, Resa.
