While Mama Owl was up in the tree shootin’ the breeze, the little wowls were bobbing around in the nest. One of the wowlets tried to peek over the edge of the nest giving us a little beak peek.

Flowers are blooming despite the drought and freezing mornings.

I love seeing all the new life in my feed! Are baby owls called wows?
No! They are called owlets. Shey’s grandson called them wowls so I’ve been using the name because I love it, and they the owls are like “Wowl!”.

Stay tuned. The owlets get to be super cute as the grow up.
Thanks, RoE.

There is something about silhouettes that draw my attention – I’ve noticed I spend a bit more time looking and thinking over such photos. The “Mama Owl through limbs” shot is one of those that draws a lot of attention… maybe it is the mystery of the silhouette that stirs the imagination 🙂
Silhouettes do have a mystery and beauty that’s irresistible. Thanks, Randall.
The excitement is building! Do you know if there are multiple – noticed you pluraled your reference?
The answer is in today’s post. Thanks, Brian.
Nature is so wild, I like it
