Dawn
There are a lot of photos in this post, starting with the light changes throughout the day and ending with the Sandhill cranes preparing for landing and landing. Don’t forget to click on the galleries to see the photos enlarged and in a slideshow.

Middle of the day

Bald Eagle with my iPhone

Dramatic Light

Color changes on the Sandias at sunset.

I got a quick snap of the crescent moon before the clouds swallowed her.

I was hoping for a shot of the crescent moon in the Tangle Heart Tree, but the clouds had swallowed the moon.

More drama near darkness.

Black lace trees in the yellow afterglow at dusk.

Cranes preparing to land under a fiery sky.

Intermission

Beautiful multitude of colours, landscape and birds!
There was a lot of color, light drama and cranes today. Thank, Heidi.
Gorgeous skies, Timothy. You must sleep at noon to catch the beginnings and endings of the day.
No noontime naps for me. Thank, Cheyenne.
Incredible photos, Tim. Can’t believe you caught a bald eagle, that clearly with your phone. Bravo!
Thanks, Michele. That was max zoom on the phone. I was surprised it was that clear, also.
📱👍🏻
The shots of the cranes are realy awesome Timothy.
Thanks, Rudi.
Thanks for another great post, Tim! It’s always so impressive to see your collections of beautiful and colourful photographs.
Thanks, Herman.
And then you got to the cranes. Honestly Timothy these are all beautiful. The color and movement in the crane shots especially.
Thanks, Shey. A lot was happening last night.
Oh yeah and you got it too.
These are absolutely beautiful. photgraphs – all of them – But I especially love ‘middle of the day’ – dramatic light, crescent moon and of course the cranes ……the close up is fabulous. thank you:)
Thanks, Janet.
It’s a conspiracy alright! Both you and the painter are extra generous today!
Thanks, Marina. The painter was in a good mood.
What a breathtaking post, Tim. Those colours of the Sandias are absolutely stunning! Great shots of the cranes, too! So clear your crescent moon…
Thanks, Dale. The Sandias really when through the color changes.
Just gorgeous.
Tim, I really enjoyed the spectrum of the mountains. The crane landing photos remind me of Concorde landings: wings stretched, head bent down a bit, gear down and ready. Nice sequences.
I love watching the cranes glide in al graceful-like with their landing gears down. Then they go into to panic mode just before landing. A lot of times they crash into other cranes, which ususally results in a good telling-off session and a spat. Thanks, Brad.
What marvelous skies, Timothy
Gorgeous shots, Tim. Those crane landings sound like organized chaos!
The chaos is not very organized. Thanks, Bruce.
The skyscapes are so dramatic!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Phenomenal Shots, Tim!!!💓💓👏👏👏
Thanks, Cindy.
AMAZING skies Tim… Dramatic for sure xx ❤
Thanks, Sue.
Each photo is a treat for the eye! 😍
Thanks, Tiffany.
A visual feast, Tim! Cranes, Sandis in gold, Sandias in lavender pink, black lace trees and a sliver moon. The ice storm here knocked out phone and Internet staring yesterday afternoon. Just got it back tonight. Catching up.
Ice storms can be brutal. Happy you’re back on line. Thanks, Lavinia.
Fantastic shots Tim, thank you!
I grabbed my tree (so magical), Tangle-Heart and 34 perfect flowers in record time.
I’m doing a collage sort of thing….. for the post. xx
I can”t wait to see it. Thanks, Resa.
Some of those photos on the Sandias have a quality that reminds me of a painting. The light maybe? Amazing photos!
Thanks, JYP.
Stunning shots Tim .. what an amazing collection
Thanks, July. Crazy cranes.
The dramatic light and the pink clouds are just beautiful. So much colour.
Thanks, Charlotte.
Love the shots of the Cranes with their landing gear down. Not the most graceful, but they somehow always manage to stick it!
Well. They crash into each other sometimes, followed by a lot of yelling and a bit of sparing. They always look panicked just before touchdown. Thanks, Brian.
