White Duck Daze

Some one’s white duck was in the irrigation ditch tonight.

I spotted a Beaver on the other side of the river.

He slithered into the water.

Swam toward me like Jaws.

He made a right turn,

Then a left turn.

Then Splashed me after I was yelling at him to splash for quite some time.

Daddy Owl

Is there a dragon in the clouds?

The Sandias with a soft pink.

  1. I’m happy to see you taming the elements and beings around you! 😉 Love the duck daze (and beaver splash and Sandias and Daddy Owl, and dragon… well, all really!)

  2. Hello! – I live in Aylesbury in England… I’m pretty sure that splendid white duck is an Aylesbury Duck!
Thank you for sharing photos daily.

PS – I do wonder whether you are a fellow-member of the Cloud Appreciation Society?

  3. I see that in your part of the world people leave “trash” out to clutter the natural wonders that surround you. fun snaps…especially the beaver..

  4. You know I like it all! That Beaver was something else. And Daddy Owl… ❤️
Beautiful views. I’m looking at clouds more now because of you!

  5. Tim, I cannot get over how your photos make me feel. I literally get lost in your slice of home there. Wow, truly amazing.

I must admit, though it would be a very bad idea, the first photo of the beaver made me want to give him a big hug and bring him home. 😅 Such a cute face! And the Daddy owl…. (sigh). Owls are one of my favorite creatures. The way you capture them is stunning!

It’s impossible to pick just one. I could look at these all day. Thank you for sharing, Tim! You make our days a whole lot better

    • Hi Holly. Not sure how a beaver would react to being hugged. They are really adorable. Our owls are such good sports to put up with us. As I was walking past Daddy Owl, a woman was walking toward him on the lower bank. I pointed him our to her and told her she should stop and talk to him. She acted so surprised at the thought of talking to a wild animal. I do it all the time, and they often interact with me talking to them.

      • I wholeheartedly agree with you about talking to wild animals, Tim. It made me smile to read how you do the same. You’re right, they often do respond to our interaction with curiosity. It’s a beautiful exchange isn’t it?

  6. How rare to see a white duck! Well, for me, anyway. Love the beaver shenanigans and Daddy owl looking so unimpressed by the whole thing. Those skies. I definitely see the dragon!!
    Beauty, as always!

  7. Ive never seem an area as filled with beautiful wildlife and landscapes. A photographers paradise. Daddy Owl is spectacular. The Beaver was cooperative and had a nice water 💦 splash for the camera. I think they love to have their pic taken. 😉.

  8. What a beautiful compilation. The domestic duck enjoying water in a drainage ditch, the beaver in the golden amber light, and Daddy Owl’s disdainful look and possibly thinking, “Oh you humans get excited about the weirdest things. Please.”

  9. Whew! What a day.
Love the white duck. Love the beaver. Love daddy owl.
Thank you, Tim! It’s so fab where you are.
