Duck paddling around in the golden light of dawn

A fat coyote at dawn

Glenda

Wild contrail sunset

Sunset from east, south to west

Silver

Clouds tried to hold onto the Bloody Worm Moon

But it slipped through the clouds

Dawn

Cloud skullduggery

The river is down. The cranes are out!

Silver

Sunset

What’s the mystery shot of?

Where cranes once foraged
A lone duck stood reflecting in the shallows
Silence pushed against the current
Winter yawned while preparing her bed
Spring stirred under leafy covers
Dreaming colors that wait her awakening

Sunrise

A friend dropped by, and we played guitar for a while. Silver plugged in after my friend left.

Paddleboarders on the Rio Grande

Una señora pato

Blue Grosbeak on blue

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?†

Daddy Owl going “Aak! Aak! Aak!”

Daddy owl let me get close again tonight, and he paused from posing to puke up a pellet. I felt honored to be part of his pellet puking circle.

Back to posing.

The moon is a little over half full tonight at 64.3%.

Since we had cloud cover for the first two days I would have seen the sliver moon, I only have the seven moonshots so far in February.

Catching air

From the Ministry of Silly Walks on Water.

Sunset looking to the southeast over the Rio Grande.

Trees and clouds at dusk looking northwest from the levee.

Some one’s white duck was in the irrigation ditch tonight.

I spotted a Beaver on the other side of the river.

He slithered into the water.

Swam toward me like Jaws.

He made a right turn,

Then a left turn.

Then Splashed me after I was yelling at him to splash for quite some time.

Daddy Owl

Is there a dragon in the clouds?

The Sandias with a soft pink.
We spent our last day in Paris getting ready to leave — checking in for the flight, cleaning the apartment, preparing food and packing. We went out for a walk in the Tuileries got our last look at the Louvre in the late afternoon sunlight, and I took random photos in the Tuileries and on the street walking back to the apartment. We are leaving for the airport at 6:30 this morning.
