Cold In Color

HotWheels Ford Pickup, and a line of 2026 GMC Pickup Trucks. The lowest sticker price I saw was over $64K, the average looked to be around $80K, and a couple were over $100K.

        • If the prices are the same, I wouldn’t be surprised you are seeing less of them. It’s like a right of passage to drive a pickup truck out here. My pickup is 43 years old. I only drive it to haul stuff, and I rarely haul stuff. But it’s nice to have when I need it.

          • I don’t doubt they are even higher here. Mick wanted a pickup so bad and only when his accountant gave the okay did he finally get the damn thing. This was March 2012. He got to drive it for 2.5 years before he died. Was the hardest thing for me to have to get rid of it.

  1. The Painter has been hard at work, as have you. It is always good to see the cats, too.

Variably cloudy up here today and not too cold, low 60s. We had some good sun for a while.

    • Even though I complain about “the same as it ever was”, truth be told, we always find a new path and something to surprise us. Thanks, Rebecca.

      • Even in the familiar, the streets we’ve walked a hundred times, the angles we think we’ve exhausted, there’s always a shift of light or mood that offers a new way through. That’s why I return to your photography again and again. You remind us that the world is never quite finished revealing itself.

    • I’m Not Eeeeven considering buying a truck! That would throw me Off-Center for sure. I have a 1982 pickup truck that suits me fine. We were simply walking around while waiting for Laurie to get her new glasses. Eyemart discriminates against dogs. Jake really wanted to pee on a $102,000 Suburban, but I didn’t let him.
