HotWheels Ford Pickup, and a line of 2026 GMC Pickup Trucks. The lowest sticker price I saw was over $64K, the average looked to be around $80K, and a couple were over $100K.
If the prices are the same, I wouldn’t be surprised you are seeing less of them. It’s like a right of passage to drive a pickup truck out here. My pickup is 43 years old. I only drive it to haul stuff, and I rarely haul stuff. But it’s nice to have when I need it.
I don’t doubt they are even higher here. Mick wanted a pickup so bad and only when his accountant gave the okay did he finally get the damn thing. This was March 2012. He got to drive it for 2.5 years before he died. Was the hardest thing for me to have to get rid of it.
He got some miles out of it. I almost sold my pickup several years ago, but I ended up having to replace the fuel system to get it in sellable shape. It ran so well with the new fuel system, I kept it. The other advantage is that the engine is so simple compared to new vehicles. I can easily get to everything under the hood.
That he did. We did quite a few camping trips as well. I loved driving it. But it was huge! With a king cab and a long bed. If it didn’t cost so much in gas, I mighta coulda kept it 😉
Even in the familiar, the streets we’ve walked a hundred times, the angles we think we’ve exhausted, there’s always a shift of light or mood that offers a new way through. That’s why I return to your photography again and again. You remind us that the world is never quite finished revealing itself.
I’m Not Eeeeven considering buying a truck! That would throw me Off-Center for sure. I have a 1982 pickup truck that suits me fine. We were simply walking around while waiting for Laurie to get her new glasses. Eyemart discriminates against dogs. Jake really wanted to pee on a $102,000 Suburban, but I didn’t let him.
It does look cold in the photos though the kitties are safe and warm inside. The price of these trucks is nuts.
And there are so many people driving big, fancy pickups around here. It’s crazy. Thanks, Dale.
I hear ya. It seems there are a few less here than before. I may be wrong, of course.

Feeding those big pickups is a problem.
Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! And they are still hungry!
Like a big dog and a hog.
Hahahaha!
Looks peaceful and cozy. 😊 Those truck prices are another story!
Crazy prices. Thanks, Michele.
My lord…..these truck prices????? Lovely pics.
Outrageous! Those prices are. You can get a fast, fun sports car for those prices. Thanks, Shey.
Well, I wondered re that……
At those prices, the trucks had better be rugged and ready to work!
Few people use them for work, and those aren’t the trucks people who need trucks for work buy. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Wonderful sky images Tim, and fun car images. Truck prices are crazy.
They are. Thanks, Brad.
Delightful Post Thanks
Thanks, Rehoboth.
The Painter has been hard at work, as have you. It is always good to see the cats, too.
Variably cloudy up here today and not too cold, low 60s. We had some good sun for a while.
We’ve had cold mornings in the mid-20s, and highs in the 50s. Thanks, Lavinia.
I always feel when I see your photography that I am entering a wonderful place of serendipity and story.
Even though I complain about “the same as it ever was”, truth be told, we always find a new path and something to surprise us. Thanks, Rebecca.

Nice shots.
Nu ber one, some ancient God with his line fishing for star.
Ha! You maybe be right. Thanks, Geoff.
A very nice picture of Marble
Thanks, Robbie.
Great nature shots, Sir. All the better for the kitties dropped in. Thanks.
Thanks, Inchy.
Lovely photos…of cats and other things. 🙂
Thanks, Gigi.

You thinking of buying a truck? They’re expensive.
Great shots, thanks Tim!

LOL…hahahahaha. Good ol’ Jake. He pees with discernment.
Another super collection Tim …
