I have to report I have had some very bad luck. It has been quite a couple of months. I remember going for a road ride on May 2nd, and the next thing I knew I was waking up after three days of unconsciousness in the neurology wing of a hospital in Grand Junction 200 miles away with no idea where I was, how I got there and even my name. I was taken there by a flight-for-life helicopter. I was up there for about 5 weeks. In addition to several broken bones and severe contusions, I suffered some traumatic brain injury. I am doing about as well as can be expected, I think I have lost about 20 IQ points – I have learned to walk again, I go hiking easily with Karen each day for about a mile or two. Still doing specific exercises and going to rehab therapy several times a week. I cannot drive, so Karen has to take me everywhere. She had been absolutely amazing, organizing on all kinds of medical stuff. I am still improving, it’s a slow process for your brain to heel. I cannot ride the bike until Nov. at earliest, if ever. The one thing I have to absolutely avoid is another head injury – my first one was gigantic, my cranium was absolutely flooded with blood to the point some medical people thought I might die, but I pulled thru.
The young, reckless guy who hit me was uninsured and low income, so lawyers won’t take the case on commission.
So our easy retirement has gotten very complcated…..
That’s horrible news. At least you survived and are back on your feet. Brain bleeds are bad news. I’m so happy you made it through. Of course, it was an uninsured motorist. Unbelievable.
Oh, the art of feline finesse! Spunk and Silver remind us that sometimes, all we need is a good grooming session and a sunny spot to feel content. These photos speak volumes without a single word—pure contentment captured. Thank you for this gentle moment of joy, Tim.
I love seeing cats at head-bath time! Daphne and Velma rarely do that, but I caught about 10 seconds of it yesterday. It was over too fast for a camera. The most excellent, Loki showing off his talons. Hugs to you and the clowder.
When a Silver comes around you must lick it You will never live it down unless you lick it No one gets their way until they lick it I say lick it lick it good I say lick it lick it good
(for the record, there isn’t one single thing I like about DEVO – especially after butchering one of my favorite Stones songs on SNL back in ’79 – I hold grudges for a loooong time)
I missed that butchering of the Stones song. I like DEVO, but never really listened to them. However, I really like Wall of Voodoo from the same time, and listen to them a lot. Thanks, Brian
I like wall of voodoo as well..although I think a few of their songs need additional parts or shortened to eliminate some of the repetitiveness. DEVO just sucks
Very beautifull 💯
Lol.. brill post.
I love those clouds! I’ve grown quite fond of Mama Dove and her dovelettes.
Fun images, especially spunk licking and the angle of the dove that makes it look like she has a giant bug eye on the right!

The light on the mountains is superb!
I always love the kitties!
First and last photos are gorgeous!
Tree and cloud as one and … is that a giant spider in the waters under the Sandias 🤣?!!!!
Hahaha! Thanks, Marina.

Thanks, Reecca.
Those are dear kitties! Silver looks very patient while Spunk gives him a good cleaning.
Your world there is very beautiful, and you are connected to the things that matter most in life. Thank you for sharing that with Readers.

PS: I love how that tall cloud echoes the shape of the trees. That’s so cool.
It’s amazing how the clouds often echo the trees.
Spunk has his sweet moments. Thanks, Teagan.
This requires a song, Tim…xo 😂
Thanks, Cindy.
Gosh I love that dove.
Gee, Spunkie Poo 💋 is on his best loving behaviour. Maybe Silver had cat food residue on his fur?
Spunk and Sliver have done lick-fests for years. Thanks, Resa.
Great shots Tim … nice to see Spunk being so affectionate
Thanks, Julie.
