Walter’s tail among the tatones in a different tree from yesterday.
We couldn’t find Walter and Willa in their cottonwood tree this afternoon. And for good reason. They were not in it. They had both flown to the tree to the west of their tree. It will be very hard to see them at dusk from now on.

Nora napping way up high in the cottonwood west of the tree she nested in.

Willa sacked out after making the flight to the new tree.

Wonderful, how the good owl-parents brought their kids up.
Thanks, Heidi.
It’s lovely that the owlets are becoming independent. Your flowers and birds are all beautiful
Thanks, Robbie.
Awwwwwww, they are so cute and the flowers are lovely.
Thanks, Shey.
Such an amazing post!!!!
Thanks, Luisa.
You’re most welcome!
Ah, Tim, what a beautiful day! Flowers, birdies, napping, my Incognito Tree and ah those skies… sigh!
ps Owls are ready to move on?
Time to move on. Iove how your tree looks at the moment but I will have to cut it back one of these days. Thanks, Marina.
Needs pruning?
It does. But it’s looking so cool.
The owlets are getting brave. The photo of the huge tree with your notes is a great visual of their progress. I imagine it’s hard to fly with the downy feathers, but those seem to be getting replaced by big owl feathers pretty fast now.
Laurie’s flowers are lovely, A Silver has the right idea. Hugs to all of you.
Cats know how to spend optimize nap time. Thanks, Teagan.
They grow up too fast. Liked the cloud and flower photos. Kitties too!
The do grow fast. Thanks, Brad.
Cute photos and clever title Tim.
Thanks, Brad.
It is hard work being a little owl! Testing those developing wings takes energy. Nora and Osric are probably looking forward to some quiet time, their job almost over for the season.
The western tanager is a brightly colored handsome fellow! All my favorite things in today’s photo collection, Tim.
Wishing Laurie a Happy Mother’s Day.
That Tanager was a beauty. It is hard work being an owl family. Thanks, Lavinia.
I guess it’s only a matter of time before the owlets fly the nest for good…
That tanager! Wow, does that yellow pop.
Beautiful blooms all around!
Up up and away very soon. The tanager was really a handsome guy. Thanks, Dale.
I bet. And yes, he was muy so!
Was this the first flight of the olwlets?
To the new tree, yes. Thanks, Liz.
WOW! and then some…
Thanks, Gigi.
Babies flying to a different tree and beautiful flowers. Good day for sure.
Thanks, Gigi.
Such a wonderful post Tim. I hope you guys had a wonderful Mother’s Day 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thanks, Gabriela. How was your mother’s day?
My pleasure Tim and thanks for asking. It was really wonderful ❤️
I’m happy to hear that.
🙏🌹
Great! Wonderful Treeality Series!!
Hahaha! Clever. Thanks, Geoff.
NOOOOOO they’re flying the coop! Good you found them for now.. looks like a beautiful mothers day and flowers to spoil Laurie with Tim❣️
Thanks, Cindy. How was your mother’s day?
of course.. It was delightful, thanks.. talked to 2 kids for an hour each and brunch with my mom and the 2 girls and babies.. sweetness x 10.. xo thanks for asking💕
A pretty post, Tim!
Willa looks adorable.. all tired and fluffy.
Oh no… the band is playing, and the bass player tonight is the one(must be deafish) with the lead thumbs. xo
Cool. I hope the bass inspires some cool drawings. Thanks Resa.
Working on Amy Winehouse!
Fun!
Gorgeous Western Tanager. We have the Scarlets and Summer Tanagers here, but nothing compares to those Westerns in my opinion. Catching up on your posts in reverse order, I didn’t know Willa had already learned what her wings can do… they grow up so fast ha.
The Western Tanagers are striking. Thanks, Brian.
Oh Laurie’s flowers are beautiful … another post of super photos!
Thanks, Julie.
The young and owld!
Thanks, Geoff.
