  1. They are all beautiful images! I especially love that first one. The moon eye is looking out into space to the right of Venus. Just enough cloud to catch dawn’s colors on the undersides. I also love that crescent moon that moves through the contrail. Nice effect!

  2. Beautiful images
Especially the portrait of moon and venus hanging there in an amazing sky.

The gray bodied and crimson caps look gracious in flight.

    • The balloonist was making good use of cold air. Doesn’t need much heat to get a rise out the balloon. On the other hand, couldn’t get much of a rise out of anything but goosebumps and nipples standing outside in my skivvies at -11ºC to get the photos. Anyway, people fly balloons year-round here. Thanks, Dale.

  3. Tim – your “sky” photos are a testament to the sky’s vast, ever-changing, and awe-inspiring presence in our lives. Your photos remind me of the grandness of the universe.

  4. Whose tree is that in the first shot with the moon and contrail. Which, by the way looks like a magic spell shot.
Love my tree and the cranes. Thanks Tim!

    • The tree in the center is Gigi’s Tree. the moon and Venus have shifted enough to the right, Gigi’s Tree is getting more attention than your tree. Lavinia’s, Susan’s and Teagan’s trees are lined up on the right. Thanks, Resa.

  5. At first glance I thought the trees were on fire and had to quickly click to see the larger shot – no harm to the trees, just a gorgeous red sky.

    Should have taken warning
It’s just people mourning, running, hiding, lost
Couldn’t find, find a place to go
So it’s red skies at night, red skies at night

    • Like The Crazy World of Arthur Brown?

      “…I bring you
Fire, I’ll take you to burn
Fire, I’ll take you to learn
      I’ll see you burn”

      Thanks, Brian.
