  1. Wow, you had quite the flocks on the wing circling your place, Tim. A most impressive image of the cranes with the cliffs in the background. And the groups of three, could these be family groups? The first group shot looks a bit like the bird to the right may be a immature one, or do only males have the bright red?

    • I don’t know about the red, but the groups of three I’m pretty sure are families. Thanks, Maj & Sher.

  2. These are all great and I particularly love the one with the cranes flying in front of the Sandias (at least I think it’s that!)

  3. Stunning cranes’ post, Tim!

Just stopped by for some bamboo… hopefully yellowed.
I do have some bamboo in my Magic Trees folders, but I’ll try searching here for yellowed. Does bamboo turn yellow? xx

    I’ll be back!

    • The bamboo does not turn yellow unless it doesn’t get enough water. When the canes die or are cut they turn gray. Thanks, Resa.

        • I was noticing that it does have some yellow leaves, but the stand does not turn all yellow like the cottonwoods.

          • I think this still works for my post. R Budd is in not an actual AGM, per se, but in the club. I have to check back, but I think I wrote something about the AGMs walking through the bamboo to turn into mermaids. The bamboo has a bit of yellow, which ties it in, but is frozen, so the Agms can’t walk back through it. I can work with this. The magic trees will have to take over! xx

  4. That’s a lot of cranes! Most of ours are gone, but there are pockets up north that stay here through the winter months (that would be the less intelligent ones).

    • We are still getting a lot of cranes flying over in the early morning hours. Those cranes must have bird brains. Thanks, Brian.
