Flying To The Moon

A crane flew to the moon one night
A silhouette against the cool light
Icarus flew close to the sun
He burned his wings, fell back to earth
The crane asked the broken man
“Why oh why are you such a fool? Men are not meant to fly!
Why oh why try to fly to the sun when by and by…”
The crane said with a heavy sigh
“…you know that you will surely die!”

      • Thanks for asking, Tim. I’m doing a modified NaNoWriMo. Trying to get as many words as possible to add to the 22,000 already written. The story structure is set, and I’m excited to write the scenes, especially Woodstock & the Vietnam War. Features of the mid-late 1960s. 📚🎶 Christine

  1. Very nice Tim. Reminds me of the photos with a plane in front of the moon. Was it hard to focus on a silhouette in fading light?

    • I don’t think it was hard to focus on the silhouette. It has sharp edges. I really have to rely on the autofocus right now. I can’t see crap with my current prescriptions. Thanks, Brad.
