I looked to the west and saw Wile E. Coyote laughing at me.
4:45 am. I can see the moon, Mars and Jupiter.
The alignment if there were no mountains, trees or clouds.

To me anything that involves pipe cleaners and popcicle sticks sounds kinky. I can imagine it was really stupid.
Making an edifice out of popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners was supposed to teach us how not to fight with each other in meetings.
But there’s nothing better than a good fight to hash things out when you’re in meetings. There’s not much reason for the meeting, otherwise.

I am glad you are getting some rain, though I know it is not enough. Looks like we are coming out of rainy season up here now and into the annual time of drought. The ground is still saturated in many places, but that won’t last long.

The alignment looks wonderful, so do your skies [painter in great mood!] …and the daisies and the …chocolate fondue! Sweet Buddy, it’s only a meeting… treats will follow I’m sure, as well as extra hugs! 😉 Clouds may have covered part of the alignment but my imagination has gone wild with your gorgeous shots. I can see the planets trying to find their way through the clouds to pose for you! There they are!!!! 😉

Buddy looks like I used to in most of my leader meetings – imagining what I could have accomplished with that time instead. When I first saw your daisy picture I thought it was fireflies!
Interesting. We were talking about fireflies the other day. We don’t have them out here. Them there daisies would be mighty big fireflies I would think? Fortunately, I don’t have to go to many meetings. I was cringing at Liz’s mentioning team-building meetings with popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners. Can you imagine? BTW our office manager calls me “Teem” because 90% of the calls she answers are from phone systems salesmen asking for “Teem!” Thanks, Brian.
Good god, I had to sit through 16 hours of team building a year or two before I retired that included building towers with spaghetti noodles and marshmallows – meanwhile our factories are experiencing production issues because their material planner was under-ordering …but the IT department made one hell of a tower. Didn’t know you do not have fireflies down there – they are much smaller, but when they are moving they look larger (especially the green ones). Right now they are out heavy and make the woods look like Christmas. There was a phone on my work desk, but I rarely ever picked it up the last 10 years – those that really needed me around the world could ping me directly whenever they wanted – the rest were just salesmen trying to waste our money.
I never saw a firefly until I was in DC many years ago. I don’t have a desk phone these days. When we moved from Downtown, I got a cloud phone system from a local company that’s a fraction of what we paid CenturyLink for crappy phone service. There is an app that separates the office phone from my personal phone. I can here much better using my cell phone. What’s cool about having the phone system on the cloud is the office manager is not tied to the front dest. She asked if she could go look at a Mercedes-Benz last week. I said sure, because she could answer any calls on her cell phone. She bought the car.

Another staff member was looking at the car. It was at a Benz only garage one street over from our office. The staff member dragged me over to look at the car. We got the low down on the car and a tour of the garage. The place was spotless. If I had a choice between that garage or the hospital to have surgery, I’d pick the garage. It’s much cleaner than a hospital. The staff were talking about the car and the office manager got curious because she is really into cars. She said “Don’t tell me it’s Red!” I said “It’s red!” She said “Damn! Can I go look at it?” I said “Yes!”
The car is a red SL 320 convertible with a removable hardtop. It had one owner before the garage bought it, it’s in perfect condition. It was priced right at $10K.
But you are right about generally not a good time to buy a car. My Mazda MX-5 is currently valued at $32K, $10K more than I paid for it, and 3 times higher than the SL 320. The SL 320 had originally sold for $80K.
I can definitely relate to that, some of our factories were cleaner than a few of the hospitals I’ve had to “visit” recently. Sounds like an okay price on that SL – we picked up a new Jeep Wrangler to tow behind our RV a few months back and basically “smack, thank you may I have another” moment.
It’s good to have something to “wrangle” yourself around in after you park the RV.

We have done weird team building exercises. Less building stuff with marshmallows (I think the last time I did that I was in middle school) and more vaguely athletic shit. Nothing awful, but kind of pointless
We don’t subject our staff to team-building exercises. We just tell them to be a team. That works pretty well believe it or not.
