How many times can I say AMAZING?? Tim I love coming over for a visit each day. You share such beautiful pictures of not only your surroundings but out of the world images as well. Love, love, love them!
Thank you!
I was thinking how they are almost like ballerinas and then the next blog I saw had a bride’s dress and it was like these cranes, all gorgeous ruffled feathers and the skirt shaped like their wings.
Birds are great inspiration for fassion. The cranes like to dance like ballerinas. You might recall this post from January: https://wp.me/p1yQyy-5Ss
I do and I nipped back and they are like dancers.
It’s fun to look back and see how they were dancing around doing pirouettes.
I know.
See what I mean? How beautifully they all pose for you… even Saturn!
Gorgeous images, my friend and those cranes shots are precious!
The cranes were being especially cute last night after being scared off the night before. They were making up my missing them so you could see how adorable they are.
I’m using a Canon 400mm ƒ/4.0 DO lens. On my Canon 7D Mark II body, which has a crop sensor, it is equivalent to a 640mm lens. It’s the same lens I’ve been using for wildlife. You can see the lens with Spunk for scale at https://wp.me/p1yQyy-5TW. Herman aptly named the lens The Bazooka.
All your photos are wonderful, but the bird ones are so pretty. I don’t know what kind they are, I don’t think I have ever seen them before. Very nice 🙂
Your crane images are spectacular!
Thanks, Susan.
I forgot the sunset photo. I just added it.
Incredible Saturn shot! 🪐 From the near to the very far, your photos are a delight!
Thank you for the wonderful comment, Michele.
Thank you!
I forgot the sunset photo. I just added it.
A beautiful ending!
I’m happy I remembered. Thanks again.
Wow! Fantastic photographs. All of them. But you got Saturn!!!! Wow again. The Cranes are incredibly beautiful.
Thanks, Gigi. The cranes are so much fun. I’m really happy with the Saturn shot.
All awesome. Especially the Jupiter collective.
Thanks, Bruce.
Wow! That Saturn shot!
And the cranes are beautiful
Thanks, Dale. I’m happy with the Saturn shot.
Wow! These are all lovely, yet that Saturn shot is stunning, Tim. Magnificent.
Thanks, Jeff. As I keep says. I’m really happy with Saturn. The cranes were is good form tonight.
Welcome, Tim. I’d be happy with that shot too. Cranes were in good form, agreed.
These picture are ALL breathtaking!!!
Thanks, Ebar.

Thank you for the wonderful commnt, Nancy. I try to have a little variety in my ever narrower world.
For a short moment I thought your Saturn shot was a UFO…!!
I think it’s Saturn. But you never know out here. Thanks, Herman.
Such beautiful birds.
Thanks, Shey.

Adorable indeed!
I like your saturn shot ! What lens did you use Timothy ?
Thanks, Rudi. It’s a Canon 400mm ƒ/4 DO on a Canon 7D Mark II body, so it’s equivalent to a 640mm lens. We call it the Bazooka.
Wow! These are beautiful. The Cranes are so beautiful they should be in NG!
Thank you for the wonderful comment, Holly. I told the cranes you were missing them and they swooned.
They should pack up and fly on back, I’ll leave a few for you two though. No family separations of course. 🙂
I’ll drop them a hint, and tell them there’s a gorgeous redhead waiting for them. I don’t think they can resist!
I’ll put out some…whatever they eat and give them full access to the inlet! That quite a deal right? You’re too kind dear Timothy.
Stunning photos!
Thanks, Dawn.
Wow, Saturn’s rings! And moons of Jupiter. No wonder the cranes are preening.
The cranes were enjoying themselves. Thanks, Cheyenne.
Stunning photographs
Thanks, Claire.
Wow! Each photo is more impressive than the last, that Saturn one is insane!😍
Thanks, Tiffany. I am happy with Saturn. Although Herman brought up the possibility of a UFO.
How do you even get Saturn, Jupiter, the moon in such clarity? Do you have a special telescope lens?
I’m using a Canon 400mm ƒ/4.0 DO lens. On my Canon 7D Mark II body, which has a crop sensor, it is equivalent to a 640mm lens. It’s the same lens I’ve been using for wildlife. You can see the lens with Spunk for scale at https://wp.me/p1yQyy-5TW. Herman aptly named the lens The Bazooka.
I see what you mean. And very fortunate that Spunk hasn’t tried to destroy that lens!
It’s a pretty Spunk proof lens. Fortunately.
Those cranes are a beautiful pair. Your space shots are always a treat, too. It was clear enough early this morning to see the moon here.
You must have been facing east at sunset?
Thanks, Lavinia. I was facing north for for sunset. Facing east I get the Sandias.
What beauties captured Timothy! 💖
Thanks, Cindy.
of course! 💖
WOW. What a perfect shot of Saturn. I can see it but never like that! The cranes are beautiful also!
Thanks, Mya.
All your photos are wonderful, but the bird ones are so pretty. I don’t know what kind they are, I don’t think I have ever seen them before. Very nice 🙂
Sandhill Cranes. I’m sure you have seen them and photographed them. Thanks, Sandra.
I have, they looked different in your photos so I wasn’t sure. 🙂
They were preening and the two together made a strange perspective.
It amazes me how you get the Saturn pictures. I see your explanation of the equipment you use but I imagine it is no mean feat to get it in the frame.
The most difficult part is getting a decent exposure with out movement or pixelation. Thanks, Susan.
Love the cranes…they look like graceful dancers.
Thanks, KT.
Everyone is a gem, Tim! The planets and cranes are brilliant.
Of course, I’m not jealous, oh, no. Not at all… Well, yes, I am! Hehehe!
Thanks, Inchcock.
Wow, these are amazing shots Tim
Thanks, Mariam.
Nice Saturn shot – getting that ring is tricky business.
Especially, handheld. Thanks, Brian.
Great shots Tim .. those cranes are special
