  1. Such a pleasure to have the planetary photos here, Timothy. And that color on the Sandias–as I was scrolling down to your final photo I heard myself gasp. Stunning!

    • Thanks, Marina. The channel should be dry except for when it rains. The wastewater from Rio Rancho continues to back up n the channel. I think the channel where the wastewater is runs into the river is blocked up with debris, but the willows and salt cedar are so dense, I couldn’t get close enough to that part of the channel to see what’s making the wastewater backup into the channel.

BTW we finally got a bit of the rain you sent. It took a slow boat from Greece via China I’m guessing.

  2. The moon gets thinner and thinner. Glad to hear you got some rain, too. That shot of the Sandias is stunning! You get some beautiful colors down there, Tim.

A partly cloudy morning up here. 39 degrees at dawn, mists rising and getting ready to float away as cloud.

    • New Moon on the 13th. 37 and raining this morning. Rain mixed with snow mid-morning. Thanks, Lavinia.

  3. Gorgeous sunset, the mountains are spectacular! xxx

(Are you getting this big ass box after you leave a comment that says “never Miss a Beat… something like that. What now?)

  4. Wow… how can you not be satisfied with bookends like this for the day? You live in a part of the world that is like a dream – congratulations 🙂

    • The old watermelon mountains chameleoning from blue-gray to watermelon red. You may or may not know Sandia means watermelon in Spanish. Thanks, Brian.
