Saturn & Jupiter in the Tangle Heart Tree. I had to get way back into the wilds of the dark bosque with coyotes and chupacabras nipping at my heels to get the shot.
I made my way back onto the levy at the same time as the coyotes.
There were two of them and they paid little attention to me even though we were close to each other. After I lightened up the photo, I could see the coyote on the left had a bad case of mange.
I started walking towards the coyotes. They took one last look before they scurried into the bosque.
Crow flying under the quarter moon.
Saturn and Jupiter through the trees. They are supposed to conjoin in three days.
What a *wild* journey from start to finish! I have never seen the wisps of light that you captured in the first image, that is beautiful.
I just realized it’s the moon! Haha. Very cool.
Hi Linda. Yes it’s a moon gone wild.
Thanks, Linda.
Another cool photo shoot, Tim. I love the wild moon. Hugs on the wing.
Thanks, Teagan.
Super photos, Tim. I love the ‘Wild Moon’ and the moon with the bird (amazing). Do the Parks take care of the wild life?
Thanks, Mia. Parks? I’m not sure who you have in mind. The Conservancy governs the bosque, ditches and rivers, but they don’t care anything about wildlife. The New Mexico State Game & Fish stock the clear water ditch with Trout, but other than stocking the ditch, G&F don’t do anything else with the bosque or river. The wildlife is pretty much on their own. Does that answer your question?
It does, thank you. Okay, so sick animals stay sick. Thank you, Tim.
No one will do anything for the mangy coyote that I know of. The mountain lion might get it at some point. With all the different critters around, sick animals don’t last too long.
Shame really. Thanks, Tim. (My lenses are tinted rose and wish things were different.)
I don’t like to see animals suffer, either. You have a good heart Mia.
I enjoyed all the photos, Tim, especially the moon’s wild ride!
We had reasonably partly cloudy skies all day. I saw the crescent moon after sundown, but a bank of clouds moved in quickly and obliterated any sign of moon, stars and planets. It’s raining again, and the wind has picked up.
You got to see the moon. That’s something. Thanks, Lavinia.
Overcast again tonight.
Clear tonight out this way.
Your photos are beautiful, Tim. You are seeing what cannot tonight.
As long as we have clear skies I can share my view with everone. Although, from the valley, I lose them behind the trees before it gets really dark. I might get up on the roof tomorrow and Monday.
Superb photos 🌸😻
Thanks, Gabriela. Are you and Maya getting ready for the holidays? Are you getting around better on your ankle?
My pleasure Timothy. We are but this year it is what it is. I am doing much better, thank you for asking. The doctor was very pleased two days ago. However I twisted again my ankle today and it does not look too good. II hope I will feel better tomorrow. Love the pictures. This conjunction is historical. I read somewhere- I hope I am not mistaken – that a similar one last took place in 1403. Hope everyone is ok. Maya sends kisses.
You should only be doing more twists in your poetry and short stories, not your ankle. Tsk! I read the last conjunction that was similar to this one was in the year 1220. There was a closer conjunction in 1623, but it was too close to the sun to be visible. In 7 BCE there was a triple conjunction between Saturn, Jupiter and Mars that could account for the Star of Bethlehem.
The kittens have figured out the cat door to the rest of the house and are making excursions into the hall and towards the dance room. They send you healing purrs, and Maya kitty kisses. Kisses for you too.
I have no more paper to do the twists on 😊 I googled and found that info too. Very interesting indeed.
Of course the kitties have figured out the cat door .. they are smart… and after all it’s a 🐈⬛ door 😊
Timothy I am going to get a new kitty in January or February. Maya is too lonely. Perhaps she is not and it is just me. I want another kitty 🐱
Thank you for the kisses. Sending many more to everyone.
A new kitty would add some spice.
And more love.
By, ‘eck, you outdid yourself with these, Sir!
Cheers!
As Marina says. It’s a natural conspiracy of nature. Thanks, Inchcock.
Amazing walk through the night. An extra-like for the boogying moon.
The moon likes to boogie down sometimes. Thanks, Puzzleblume.
The conspiracy is working overtime!!! Some crazy beautiful ICM and wonderful Wonderful shots!!!!!
Thanks, Marina. Weird stuff in the makings of this conspiracy. And coyotes are always conspiring.
Well, you know nature conspiring involves all sorts of creatures!!!! 😉
And no creatures of comfort.
…however much I like them… yes, indeed! 😉
Hi
Good work. I like
Thanks, rajkkhola.
Very cool shots! I was out last night taking pictures in the back yard of the planets. All I had were a few leaves tickling my heels…
Nice shots and walk… Happy Weekend!
Once again, thank you TImothy for the wonderful pictures. Always such a pleasure to see.
You are welcome, Shey. Thanks, for dropping by.
All great photos. I just love the tangle heart tree
Thanks, Helen.
Very cool artsy pic of the moon!
And as for the others, beautiful, as per!
Thanks, Dale.
I so enjoy your wildlife photos, thanks for sharing Tim!
You are welcome, Tiffany. Thanks for dropping by.
These are great, very mystical, especially the crow moon 🌒 😯🌝
Thanks, Kay.
These are mystical for sure. So beautiful!
Thanks, Holly. I had to face the creatures of the night to get Saturn and Jupiter in the arms of your tree.
Oh, that’s just scary. I’m glad you made it out safely photos in hand!
So am I.
😊, you’re pretty good at making the escape.
As you saw, those coyotes might have had some different ideas.
But you outsmarted them… or outran them. Just so it worked out.
I acted tougher than they are and they bought it and high-tailed it into the bosque.
You’ve got tI stay cool and carry a bag of pastries in case that doesn’t work.😊
Ohhh, the poor mangy coyote.
It breaks my heart when I see animals with mange.
The moon shot is very creative, and the entire post is a nature lover’s delight.
That moon & crow is outstanding, Tim.
Thanks, Resa. It is sad when animals have mange.
Yes.
That sure is a wild shot of the moon 🙂 Poor coyote with the mange
