The rays are beautiful. The names comes from the Latin “crepusculum” meaning twilight. They should be called “spectacular rays”. Much easier said, and Latin is dead. Reply

Other colloquial names for them I’ve heard are “God rays” or “Jesus beams”, the latter from over in the U.K..
