Can you find Nora Owl?
We’ve been checking the owl’s nest, but have not seen owlets yet.

Irrigating the apple orchard north of us.
Now that is a beautiful blue clear sky!
I love the sunset silhouettes Tim! You and your cats seem happier with the warm weather.
Thanks, Brad.
I usually say.. Oh these cats. But today it is those trees. Beautiful pics.
The trees were lovely last night. Thanks, Shey.
It’s been such a long time since I visited your blog, Timothy—and what a joy it is to see all your beautiful photographs again.
Gwendolyn and Loki, the sweet charcoals, still look stunning in their saber coats. Though for some reason, they seem to have stirred something in you this time. Silver—unglamorous, free, and perfectly content lounging in her own space—still carries a quiet kind of beauty.
That shot of the ever-faithful Nora the owl is simply wonderful. Yes, I can clearly make out her silhouette in that glorious black and gold night image. I hope you get a glimpse of the owlets soon—what a treat that would be!
Looking forward to Apples for Summer—soon.
Heavenly, not a cloud in the sky.
Wishing you a lovely Thursday.
Thanks, abvr. The kitties are doing well. I hope owlettes show themselves.
You are most welcome Timothy. Beautiful pics of the kitties. I’m sure the owlettes will show face soon.
What a beautiful blue sky day you had down there! It got close to 70 here yesterday, though partly to mostly cloudy. I love the kitties, especially Gwendolyn’s expression.
I do see Nora, and really love that composition with the tangled trees in black against that fading gold sky. That is a fantastic image. I hope you see owlets soon. The apple orchard reflection in the irrigation waters is beautiful too. You find so many wonderful things to share with readers.
Thanks, Lavinia. It’s still 68 degrees today. It’s still 10:18 p.m.
That is warm for 10:18 PM! Up here, we’re back in the mists and rain last night and this morning. The grass is growing at a good clip.
It’s supposed to be 88 this afternoon. 36 this morning.
I see Nora, yes. A stunning photo. 🦉
Thanks, Michele.
Beautiful photos Tim! Where I stayed in Santa Barbara there were owls right outside the house, but as hard as I tried, I could not see them, masters of disguise!
They are hard to see unless they are on top of a limb, or post, etc. Thanks, Tiffany.
I see her, and that particular photo is a stunner! Kitties, you are too and the apple orchard and the blue sky!
Thanks, Marina.
I love the penultimate photo! I spotted Nora on the left-hand side.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Oh yes, I see the owl!!! It took a little but I spotted her! 💓
Thanks, Cindy.
Fingers crossed for the owlets Tim… and wow to that blue sky .. And argh for the Cats life 🙂 xx
The cats have a good life. Thanks, Sue.
They do Tim, I’m just looking at mine, stretched out in the sun. 😍
With all the wind, maybe the owlets are just keeping their heads low… Loved the kitty pics and the artistic landscapes are brilliant. Hugs.
They may not be big enough to look out yet. Thanks, Teagan.
I certainly hope you do have owlets this year. I have always thought what a blessing it is to be able to not only photograph these beautiful young birds but to watch them grow.
Every time I see Gwendoly I show my husband and we are both reminded of our little Ollie the splitting image of one of our three beloved cats that died relatively close together as they were all around 14. Gwendoly also holds her arms out just like your cat does.
I don’t think I realized you had so many fruit trees. Wishing you a wonderful weekend Timothy and thank you for sharing all your magnificent photographs. Hugs, Joni
Thanks, Joni. Gwendolyn is a character.
Indeed, a great name with many characters who have held that name. I did not know, I am ashamed to say that Gwendolyn Brooks was the first black poet to win the Pulitzer Prize. You are always teaching me something my friend. What a fabulous name for a special cat. 🐈⬛ 💕
I found Nora! They can really blend in.
Misha says to Silver – I roll just like you!
Fun post,Tim, thank you!
Great photos Tim … Ow, Loki is not happy!
Nope! Thanks, Julie.
Whoa, those mad dog eyes would scare the crap out of me…any chance Loki is available for this year’s haunted trail!?!?
He would love it if you were closer. Thanks, Brian.
