The neighbor’s tree arcing in the powerlines looked a little like the full moon behind Resa’s Tree.

Fluffy clouds between storms

Spunk had to hit the cheese this morning after being up most of the night watching and growling at the buzzing, popping, and flashes from the tree branches arcing in the powerlines.

Spunk between arcs and reacting to the arcs

Spunk is right to worry about that tree. I am glad it did not start a fire. I love his expressions!
A beautiful set of images, Tim. The last shot of the Sandias and river with reflecting cloud light is particularly stunning.
77 degrees and partly cloudy up here today. Looks like we are back into some rain tomorrow night.
The photo you identify is my favorite of today’s group, too.
It only got up to 60 yesterday. We just had a downpour with the sun shining. Thanks, Lavinia.
Wonderful images….and wonderful Spunk:)
Thanks, Janet.
Autumn puts on its finest colours despite everything and lovely pictures, despite everything else Autumn pit on yesterday too.
We haven’t had frost yet, so the colors are coming on nicely. Thanks, Shey.
Oh we have had frost quite a few mornings here.
You are farther north than we are, but we are a lot higher, in altitude, that is. We have other highs and attitudes in life.
oh indeed. We are near the North Sea so we get that biting cold.
Beautiful nature photos!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Beautiful fall images!
Thanks, Ingrid.
Kudos for getting out exploring and photographing every day Tim.
Spunk needs to be the spokes cat for cheese ☺️ so cute
Thanks, Becky.
As gorgeous as the photo is Spunk has every reason to be concerned. Certainly makes a beautiful pic though. Love all the beautiful trees, of course the Tangle Heart is the most symbolic, nature knows what she is doing. Have a lovely Sunday Timothy.
Thanks, Holly. You too.
Gorgeous selections of photos. Love the pops of colour – who knew you got so many (outside of the spectacular skies you get)?
Spunk, your guard cat!
Spunk works hard to keep us safe. Thanks, Dale.
He’s such a good cat.
He’s a good guard cat, protecting you and yours.
He does a great job of keeping us safe. Thanks, Gigi.
Cats are like that.
Horsefeathers… I hope (and I know you certainly do too) they get the issue with the fireworks-causing tree sorted out soon. Good that Spunk had cheese after that night — I would have needed something a lot stronger.
The photos are gorgeous. It’s nice to see the river with plenty of water. Hopefully it doesn’t get enough to be a problem. Hugs.
PNM (you remember PNM for your prior NM days) came out, trimmed the tree, and restored our electricity. Spunk had never asked me to uncover the cheese before that—rough night. Thanks, Teagan.
ahh the quiet after the storm: ‘There will be peace in the valley’
Aand wind. Thanks, John.
I’d be worried about that tree, too, Spunk.
Pretty pictures!
Thanks, Nancy.
Love the tree silhouette in the sky in first one.
Thanks, Geoff.
I love how you combine your sweet animal photos with your sky shots. My favorite is the last photo. I love the colors. The skies have been impressive on this end of Route 66. Have a great day, Tim. 🩵🦋
We’ve had typical weather. Roswael got almost 6 inches of rain on Saturday. That was unusual and caused a lot of damage. Thanks, Michelle.
We are bone dry here in Oklahoma which is unusual. No rain dances here. 😂
We are here, too, except Roswell.
Spunk looks stressed – all that arcing and spooky sounds throughout the night can be hard on a kitty. Love those stunning blue hues in your shots.
Spunk works hard to keep us safe. He’s frustrated the dog is still here. Thanks, Brian.
Spunkie-Poo 💋 is arcing to the arcing. He really is special.
Fabulous shots, Grabbed my tree and the TH! xo
Great. I know you’l make good use of them Thnks, Resa.
I will. I must have 200 trees in folders. LOL… I do use them here and there, sometimes more sometimes less, but one day there will be another tree post!
OH WHAT A NIGHT! Sounds like no one got much sleep but it sure made for some beautiful pics. Sweet spunk’s expressions are priceless. 💕
Thanks, Cindy.
Wonderful images Tim! Poor Spunk … gosh I thought they would have cut back the tree by now
Thanks, Julie.
