Contrail from a different location

Visit my post on my Zenfolio blog from May 2015 to learn more about the annual Dr. Huey tours: The 2nd Annual Corrales Rose Society Dr. Huey Tour. Our first Dr. Heuy Tour was on May 26, 2014. We didn’t publicize the first one. My post that day was called Day For The Dead. We were worn out from running all over Corrales in inclement weather, finding Dr. Hueys. Now that we are older and we have enough Dr. Hueys in our gardens, we don’t feel the need to run all over Corrales looking for Dr. Hueys.

“Ahem! Don’t forget about Dr. Spunk! I might have to give you a Vulcat nerve pinch, you stupid paparazzo!”

Sunset

We saw Daddy Owl from the nest that used to be south of us.
Gotta love Mr. Huey who thrives just because and so beautifully at that, Tim!
Older wiser with Spunk at the helm to remind you .. lol 💗🤗
Spunk keeps me in line. Thanks, Cindy.
somebody has to.. lol 😂😹
I LOVE the Sunset photograph – its stunning. Spunk is gorgeous and so good to see roses spreading everywhere…we can never have enough of them. 🙂
Thanks, Janet. The thing with Dr. Huey is that it’s the root stock that survived after the grafted rose died. Dr. Huey gets to be a bit overwhelming.
Thanks for this explanation….I was wondering. Such a beautiful rose….
Oh the sunset is beautiful. The colours remind me of the ones over the Tay which we could see from our last house. Just lovely. And the corales and cats are gorgeous too.
Thanks, Shey.
They are spectacluar those Dr. Hueys. How wonderful to have so many in your yard. Oh Spunk! You wouldn’t give the Vulcan nerve pinch to Tim, would you?
Thanks, Dale. It’s not very wonderful, because Dr. Huey is what’s left after the grafted rose has died. The number of Dr. Hueys we have represents a lot of dead roses. Dr. Hueys are like living tombstones. Be we love him anyway. Anything that thrives in our high desert environment has to be respected.
BTW, Dr. Spunk said he doesn’t do “Volcan” nerve pinches. He does “Volcat” nerve pinches. And, yes, he would Volcat nerve pinch the poor, old, half crippled, pesky paparazzo.
Oh. I had no idea. That is rather sad.
And I swear, my fingers changed Volcat to Vulcan of their own volition! I was sure I had typed Volcat!!! Spunk. That is not cool. Leave the old man alone!
Probably stupid auto-mistake, as Resa calls it. Dr Spunk forgives you. But say the pesky paparazzo will get what he deserves.
I think it might have been the subconscious trying to “correct” 😉 Dr. Spunk needs to understand that we love the paparazzo and that he is just trying to share Dr Spunk’s handsomeness with his followers…
Dr. Spunk says you only see the good side of the cranky, curmudgeonly, crusty old paparazzo.
Yes. But then I always try to see the good side because everyone has one, no matter how small 😉
Vulcat nerve pinch! 😂😂 that’s hilarious! Dr Spunk looks very dignified
Indeed. Thanks, Becky.
Dr. Spunk, you rule every day, Dr. Hueys just a few days, no need for a Vulcat pinch!
Beautiful Daddy Owl image.
I told Dr. Spunk to listen to you. We’ll see. Thanks, Marina.
Accompany my words with a kiss on the nose! 😉
I love the look of those rose bushes, so full and abundant!
Dr Huey only blooms once a year, but when it blooms, it’s profuse. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Spunk is gorgeous.
Thanks, Gigi.
Beautiful blooms and poses by Spunk… Looking gorgeous as ever.. So is Daddy Owl from his perch xx
Daddy Owl likes to hang out on the tree. I only have a vague idea where he and Mama Owl nest now. Thanks, Sue.
If you’re meant to discover it, you will Tim. 🦉
One can never have enough Dr. Huey roses. 🙂 Thank you for sharing them with readers again, Tim.
How old is Spunk now? I remember him when he first came into your household.
He’s 10 now. He’s the old cat of the household. Thanks, Lavinia.
What beautiful nature shots and of course, the cat!!! 🐱💕
Thanks, Samantha.
Gorgeous flowers on your Zenfolio blog post. A lovely tradition. 🌹
Thanks, Michele.
Like big WOW on the Dr. Hueys.
Beautiful, Tim.
Spunkie-Poo 💋 is gorgeous, too! Does he know how cute he is?
Spunk is full of himself. He knows he’s cute and popular. Thanks, Resa.
Vulcat nerve pinches can be quite debilitating. Glad you dodged that, Tim.🙂
Indeed. Thanks, Bruce.
I don’t know how I missed this when it was posted, but I certainly enjoyed finding it today.
I thought you saw it. One of those things. Thanks, Susan.
Fantastic photographs. I’ve never seen a bush full of tiny roses like this.
Dr. Huey would thrive in your area. Especially if you have alkaline soil like we do. Thanks, Roberta.
I’ll have to check that point. Mum is the gardener in my home.
Spunk wouldn’t Vulcat you … surely! Ha ha. … Those shots of Dr Huey are lovely … a real raspberry rose
Thanks, Julie.
Nobody puts baby in a corner..wait, different movie, never forget Dr. Spunk! (there, better).
Good you got it right. Thanks, Brian.
