…for whichever heart might matter.

The cranes were restless tonight, cawing, sparing, and spreading their wings while wading through the water altogether in the same direction.

“I keep telling you until I’m red in the face to stop acting like a Birdbrain!” “Uh! Aren’t we all like Red in the Face?”

Wonderful hearts — and all the other shots too. I love seeing all the colors. That’s a lot of cranes! Hugs
Lol, precisely
Pot calling the kettle black – One Direction
Thanks, abvr.
You are wekcome Timothy.
Enjoy your evening
Slow network connection here.
Thanks, Teagan. While thousands of cranes fly down to Bosque del Apache for the winter, a few hundered sensible cranes stay in Corrales and we get to enjoy their beauty, calls, and banter.
Beautiful colors. I hope the cranes are not p[planning on moving.
They will be hear through the middle of March. Thanks, Shey.
Good. Lots of pics then
Hard for any heart not to matter! To rephrase: your images always fill my heart with joy.
Happy February, Tim!
Thanks, Marina. Happy February.
A secret message, you’ve intercepted! The Tangle Heart is always special as are your skies and those cranes! Birdbrains, all.
Someone drew and nice heart of the ground, and I found it. Funny thing is Laurie was almost standing over the heart while I was photographing it. When she saw the photo she asked where I found it. I was surprised she didn’t see it or notice that I was practically pushing her out of the way to photograph it. Thanks, Dale.
I know you did. And it’s funny Laurie never realised what you were doing!!
I love all of the photos, each for a different reason. My favorite bit, though, is this caption: “I keep telling you until I’m red in the face to stop acting like a Birdbrain!” “Uh! Aren’t we all like Red in the Face?”
Thanks, Liz. I could just hear that conversation from the looks of those two cranes.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Wow, Tim! Between the heartfelt words and the colors and the gorgeous vistas, this post touched my heart very deeply. Thank you for sharing you and what you see. Just love this post!! ❤️
Thanks, AmyRose.
Great pictures and your captions make me smile and then laugh!!!! Those cranes are hysterical! ❤️
The cranes are so entertaining. And noisy. Thanks, Cindy.
I can only imagine.. My one big cockatoo drove us nuts.. !!! welcome 🤗
Another gorgeous day there, Tim! I love the cranes and commentary. 🙂 The river and Sandias always look so serene.
Thanks, Lavinia. You would love the cranes, sandias and Rio Grande in person.
It is on my bucket list, Tim. 🙂
I like the cranes flying in formation, and communicating with each other. Great behavior photos Tim.
Fantastic, all these cranes!
Thanks, Heidi.
The cranes know how to pick a site with a beautiful view. So much action going on in that series.
That they do. They were animated last night. Thanks, Rebecca.
Incredible! Those two birds look a mix of fighting and dancing.
That’s exactly what they are doing. Thanks, Michele.
I love the crane dialogue. Good question re: whichever heart might matter.
Thanks, JYP.
They are running some ‘Visit America’ adverts on the TV at the moment. I really think they should use your photographs to give it more appeal, Sir. Brill shots once again!
But I don’t want them visiting here. Thanks, Inchie.
Can’t blame you either, Sir!
Crane caption cracked me up. Saw title – Immediately thought of one of the most underrated albums of all time that gets heavy rotation for my background music. Can take it or leave it with the Eagles, but Henley’s solo work is fantastic.
I’ve been tryin’ to get down
To the heart of the matter
But my will gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter
But I think it’s about
Forgiveness, forgiveness
Even if, even if
You don’t love me anymore
Henley has done some good songs. Thanks, Brian.
You got an early valentine from nature filled with hearts and birds.. Thanks for sharing it!
It’s like nature’s Valentine’s day every day around here. Thanks, Resa.
That’s a lot of cranes! Wonderful skies as usual ….
Thanks, Julie.
