    • ❣The Rio Grande is running high.❣

This sounds and feels so wonderful, it’s a good thing 🏞

Rising above the mountain to light is fire in the sky, an awesome view

Battered but no broken, butterfly has its wings, so beautiful

      Whippy though

      First dragonfly
Oh I thought they arrived some 300 million years ago

      It’s the geese for me

  1. I lurve dragonflies!!
I recently found dragonfly wings in my backyard (body MIA) and found that they expand to nearly twice the visible width. I feel like a dork for not getting a pic!

  2. Fabulous collection. That butterfly has had quite a thug life, judging by its appearance! That moon – wow. The sky IS on fire!

    • I don’t usually thing of butterflies as thugs, but his wings are like the tattered ears of an old Tom cat. Thanks, Dale.

        • Their wings can get all tattered, generally from preditors I think, but you’re take on it as a thug brings angle to the possible cause of tattered wings. It’s a brilliant take on it. To think of butterflies out brawling with the birds and the bees and carrying on. Have you ever seen the sketch Poodle with a Mohawk? A thug butterfly is definitely along those lines.

          • Of course you are probably right. But hey, why not thug life of a butterfly? 😉 Haha! Yeah, definitely along those lines 🙂

  3. Yes, I’m very well. I went to see Beyoncé in concert on Friday night at the Stade de France in Paris and it was magical !
And right now we’ve got the Roland Garros tennis tournament in Paris.

  4. Gwendolyn portrait is perfect, so is the hummingbird shot and the Rio Grande and geese and dragonfly and the Moon and the lizard and the butterfly and…. wow that fiery sky! What an enchanted journey!

  5. I enjoyed your selection, Tim. Hard to pick a favorite, though Gwendolyn\s framed face, the Sandias and fire in the sky are right up there at the top.

  6. Always like critter filled posts, especially ones with Devo lizards. Reminds me I have a lizard series to get to as well. Great shot of the hummer, lucky enough to get one to stand still for a second. That butter looks like it might have lost a battle with that dragon..or a moth ha. Cute shot of Gwendolyn.

    • That hummer sits on the treetop keeping watch over the nest in one of the fruit trees below. I was working over by the fruit trees and it started dive-bombing me. Laurie was over there looking as some of the roses and got dive bombed as well. Hummers are vicious.

The lizard only comes in the female variety, and self-replicates. The story goes that after a lady lizard rejected a brutish, uncouth, useless male lizard, he told her to go fuck herself. She took him literally and figured out she didn’t need those brutish, uncouth, useless male lizards, after all. The rest is history. Thanks, Brian.

  7. Yes, hummers look cute on the outside, but on the inside they are evil little buggers. Fascinating about the lizard – I had no idea. I hope that doesn’t catch on with our species!

    • There are plenty of disgruntled dames around who would like to ride the world of the men.
