Hot Day In The Hood

While the official high temperature in Albuquerque was 101ºF (38.3ºC), the temperature in the east side of the building when I left the office was 107ºF (41.7ºC). I stopped by Costco on the way home and parked in the shade under their solar panels. When I got in the car to leave, the temperature still read 107ºF. The temperature did not change until I got home and it went down to 99ºF (37.2ºC).

    • Spunk is a professional kitty model. He has had to model all is kitty life to pay off his debts for all the expensive things he’s destroyed. Thanks, Brian.

  1. Thanks for making me see things in perspective. I thought we were having hot days with temperatures around 30° C. I hope it’s not to hot for ice cream…

  2. I thought of you last night as i watched a Nova special on the owl, how it is with its babies etc. and remembered your wonderful pictures.. thanks for that! I don’t know if I could endure such hot temperatures.. guess it is what one gets used to. your pictures as always are amazing.

    • Hi Chine dream. Temperatures like that in Paris would be unbearable. It’s so dry out here, you hardly notice. Owls are so much fun.

  3. Boiling hot!!!! I really don’t look forward to those later on in summer!
At least you’re a bit cooler at home, not to mention the beauty surrounding you! Spunk knows! 😉

  4. The selection of photos is beautiful, as always, and I enjoy seeing Spunk’s little face in there, too. It is a lot cooler up here this week, hovering in the 60s. We are getting a little rain, but enough.

  5. I am soooooo thankful severe heat hasn’t hit Long Beach. With no a/c, I usually spent my days nekked in front of a fan. Now that I have a job, I can’t do that anymore and I dread it.

  6. wholly molly I’m melting reading about the heat Timothy but blowing out the wishing flower ( I forget the name of it) for some cool days for you. Spunk looks no worse for wear for it. great pics🌷🌷🌷🤗

  7. It hasn’t been that hot here, but almost. Then add the humidity, and it is in a really sweaty yuck.
So with this humidex, we’ve been into the low 100s.
    Spunkie-Poo 💋 looks adorable.
Jeep is here, lounging around the computer. She’s trying to sneak a paw onto the keyboard.

    • Ha ha, Resa. Jeep wants to do some cat-like typing. It’s amazing the things cats can do when they get on a keyboard. Heat and humidity are a horrible mix. The dry heat is a lot easier to take.

      • OMG! She’s cleaned her mouth on the corner of the screen, now she’s reclining alongside the keyboard.
It’s so humid here; the AC unit was sucking so much water out of the air, that it couldn’t keep up. A sodden chunk of ceiling fell down. Then they added a water pump.
Okay, I have to go. Jeep is DEMANDING kisses and attention!
        I’ll go sew for awhile.
