Bird In Hand

Dawn

I did not see any balloons this morning. I believe it was too windy. It’s been windy all day.

How does the saying go? “A bird in the hand…”

“…is worth two in a fight?”

Tycho Kitty is lying on the floor, contemplating Jake.

  1. Somewhat dating myself, but that candle fan reminds me of those old Christmas ornaments that you put over those old C9 bulbs and the heat would turn the little fan in them. Must stop thinking about Xmas, i have halloween to deal with first aaarggghhh ha

    • “Instant Xmas gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
      You better get yourself together
If you want to finish those dead
What in the world you thinking of
Xmas? With scary things to be done
What on earth you tryin’ to do
It’s up to you, to push on through

Well we be scared off our rails
      By Brian’s scary haunted trail
Yeah we be scared off our rails
Scared and on and on on and on…”

Laurie is giving Xmas ornaments she got in Germany for birthday presents so the family can use them for Xmas.

  2. Beaker always looks like he is smiling for you. He is one happy bird! Jake does look a little glum. I know you have shown Tycho before, but he is not one of your kitties – a neighbor’s cat?

    • That was Belafonte in hand. Jake often looks like that: bored, but too tired to play. Thanks, Lavinia.

  3. I love the hummingbird photo – the fan is truly cool, I have never seen anything like it. That photograph of the lovely screen door and all the ivy or foilage is stunning. Jake doesn’t look real happy, just tired out. I am going to do a whole post on the study of doors – I have so many of them, I just love that photograph Tim.
