You get some interesting critters wandering about and raising young. I spotted a small green tree frog here today, a youngster, near where some plantings are watered.
I see the cormorants down in the river. The mountains are beautiful!
Ha. I spent too much of life on the east coast. For a second there, I thought the bird perched on debris was an alligator sticking its head up. Flycatcher and the little lizard are both lovely. Errrmmm how big is the flycatcher compared to the tiny lizard? Good luck little lizard! Hugs.
Laurie came back from Germany and noticed our property was more green and jungly than the Black Forest. Maybe that’s why it’s called the Black Forest. Thanks, Resa,
Cute Mosquito Vacuums you got there. Like that lizard. Ffinally had the opportunity to see some interesting lizards while out in Arizona – always surprised how few I see on our Texas trips.
The chicks are so cute. I think I found them all! 💗
Thanks, Cindy.
Isee 1 cormorant!
The other is in the shadows. Thanks, Leenda.
I see 1 cormorant and 1 heron.
Neat pictures!
Thanks, Nancy.
Lizards and languid skies.
Exactly. Thanks, Brad.
Yep, I spotted the cormorants in the last photo!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Painter in great mood!
What cormorants? Aren’t they giant spiders?!!!!!
Flycatcher’s pulling your leg! 😉
More like prehistoric birds. Thanks, Marina.
Wonderful photos!
Thanks, Dawn.
A wonderful set of photos. Mama Flycatcher must be proud of her adorable babies. What a cozy little nest.
It is a cozy nest.

The flycatcher is in a box at the back door at Tristan’s. Thanks, Lavinia.
I was wondering if that was Tristan’s house. Mama Dove is there too?
Yes.
So sweet.
Thanks, Shey.

Little gator flycatchers. Mama is too small to eat the lizard. Thanks, Teagan.
The Cormorants are on the water, perched on stick or log things.
Love all the wee birds and lizard.
Oh my, it looks like a jungle… almost. xx

Is she in for a visit, or moving back?
Laurie went to visit Tristan in Germany. Tristan is not moving back anytime soon.
Ahh, I got confused. Must be the heat.
The heat will get you every time.
It’s making me stoopid!
But you’re still hot! 🥵
LOL!
Tiny little balls of fluff stuffed with flies?
Thanks, Julie.
