The Lone Pato Waddles Again

Sunset

The second evening I’ve seen this female mallard without her male companion.

The wind started blowing as Jake and I came back from our walk. The cotton was streaming from Resa’s tree.

  1. I hope she finds her companion!

What a scene with the cotton tree. Just as well you’d just returned. Can’t be nice walking out there with cotton blowing!

    Gorgeous sunset.

  2. Now I’m worried about the male mallard.

OMG, what a glorious display my tree is making. Thanks for recording that, Tim! xx

  3. The duck is a little charmer, Tim. The GIFs(?) of her and the cottonwood tree are extremely cool. I remember the time when I moved to Albuquerque, and the first time I saw that kind of “cotton streaming.” I was filled with wonder. That sunset is spectacular – great composition. Hugs.

    • I was wondering about the mate. I haven’t seen the hen in a few days. Thanks, Lavinia.
