What a fun shot of the ducks. They look so companionable, I can imagine they’re having a conversation. LOL, Silver is going for maximum bed real estate. Hugs.
The mallards are enjoying their stroll while cats lounge in comfort. The gold of those flowers against the pink makes a beautiful composition. Too cloudy and rainy up here yesterday to see the waxing moon. It was a beautiful uniform silver cloud and mist in the hills day with a gentle rain.
Strolling ducks in the high desert. Our temperatures have been all over the place: 20º on Monday morning with a high near 70º in the afternoon. It was 28º yesterday morning with a high of 75º. We had 32º this morning, and the forecast is for 80º this afternoon. Thanks, Lavinia.
Interesting, those look like Mallards which I didn’t know were in your area – they are a rarity in south Texas (they have the Mexican and Mottled instead) and just assumed that was the same for farther west.
Love the ducks! They are so cute! Your cat looks so comfy! I’m jealous! I want to be that comfortable!
Thanks, Becky.

Typical NM dusks walking on the dirt. Thanks, Teagan.
These ducks are striding forth purposefully.
They are ducks a go go. Thanks, Shey.
They sure look that way,.
Such beautiful photos. I love ducks and of course the kitty kats:) xx
Thanks, Janet.
Oh, but that moon…
Thanks, Nancy.

Thanks, Sue.
Beautiful post.
Thanks, Gigi.
Crazy how different the male and female mallards look. Wonderful shot.
If I didn’t already know, I would never guess they are related, other than for being ducks.
What kind of flowers are those? They look like suns.
Seems it’s quite warm where you are. We had sideways sleet yesterday. xx
Those are parking lot flowers. That’s all I know. Male and female birds are often really differently colored. Thanks, Resa.
You do live in an oasis, Timothy… bless you and all (and especially your camera for being able to share it all with us😊!).
Thanks, Randall. We desperately need precipitation in our oasis.

Mallards are the most common duck out here. We have them year-round. Thanks, Brian.
