Pre-dawn

Jake and I went out for a walk yesterday afternoon and crossed paths the a coyote for the second day in a row. When I told Jake to sit, the coyote also sat, looking like he might like to be friends with Jake. The coyote was apprehensive, given the fact that Jake is three times larger than the coyote.

It started raining while Jake and I were on our walk. A bright rainbow came out of Shey’s tree.

A cheesy intermission

Godzilla blocking the full moon
It really does look like Godzilla. The coyote is beautiful and so are the cats and the sky.
Thanks, Gigi.
I’m calling it a Sheybow.
That coyote is so sweet. I wish it could be friends with Jake.
What flavour cheese do the cats eat? xx
Good name. The kitties eat Mexican Four Cheese Blend. They are a bit high falutin when it comes to cheese. Thanks, Resa.
Gee… a blend, but not spoiled!
I just love cats.
The cheese has to be the right temperature. Fresh out of the fridge doesn’t cut it. We also have to keep the leftover covered so it doesn’t dry out when they want seconds.
Whew! I was worried about the cats…you know that their cheese wasn’t proper.
Sheybow ? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
🎼 Some where over the Sheybow 🎼
🎼 Hamsters fly 🎼
Yes, my dear Shey… a Sheybow! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I love the thought of flying hamsters over the Sheybow.
Me too!
h that is brill. Now I am singing Over the rainbow, hamsters fly.. Or rhater Over the Sheybow xxx
Awwwwwww . xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I see it clearly! xxxxxxxxxxxx
…the rain is gone…
Oh.. Hmmm.. is that good or not?
We always need more rain.
Seeing is prob better than hearing….
Stunning rainbow! The last photo really does look like Godzilla.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Geeze. I’m jealous of your skies Tim. Maybe I need to move to NM!
It’s the Land of Enchantment. Thanks, Brad.
😋
That coyote knows good folks when it sees them. AND the Godzilla cloud is amazing. It knows a good photographer when it sees them too.
Thanks, Shay. Did you see Resa called the rainbow coming out of your tree a “Sheybow”?
I just did and it is lovely . xxx for letting me know. Been a very hectic few days here.
We had a hectic night with wind, powerlines arcing, and losing power in the wee hours of the morning. It’s still windy and cold. There is hectic in the air.
Well Timothy in total fairness ours weren’t like that, more walking, acting and minding grandies, although it is seriously bucketting down here today–just great for the leaking roof that was repaired BUT>….. Sounds awful where you are. Hope it stops soon for you.
If you are getting buckets of rain and your repaired roof is leaking, that is pretty bad.
Yeah and the frim was on holiday last week… But hopefully be here tomorrow. Our usual roofer retired recently. Always takes a wee bit to get another tradesman here of any type.
It seem to take a lot to get tradesmen anywhere these days.
I know. You can hardly get one or a Gp here. We had agood network in our last house of local folks but then we moved over the river and obvi they don’t need to come over here. One of our sons in law has his own joinery biz and these folks work in little groups with other tradesmen depending what the job requires and he got a lot for us–very reliable he won’ work with anyone ho isn’t– here but now two of them who have retired. So it is back to square one.
It’s a sad state of being to find good help.
I know. Of cousre there’s these companies who will get you someone but that is at double the price.
Superb photographs….I love them all and am fascinated with the cayote…..having never seen one up close and personal. As for the cheese feast….beautiful:)
Thanks, Janet. Coyotes are very adaptive and thrive in almost any environment.
I love learning these things….thank you:)
Awww, Coyote looks lonely.
Love these rainbow photos
Very lonely. Thanks, Dawn.
Spectacular sky photos, Timothy, and the rainbows are incredible. Wonderful photo of the coyote and I liked hearing about the calm encounter.
Thanks,Jet. Jake isn’t botheredby much and everyone loves him.
I suppose all animals like some company 💞
Mamals, especially. Thanks, Robbie.
Yes, that makes sense
The skies and rainbows are beautiful, Tim! Jake seems to be a well behaved dog, not going after the coyote. The cheese line is always entertaining. I love your kitties!
Jake is super well behaved. Peoplecan hardly believe after encountering so many untrained dogs. Thanks, Lavinia.
The cloud really does look like Godzilla!! Love the rainbow shots and the cats look like they are enjoying cheese time! Lastly, the coyote is so cool; I saw a lone coyote in a field not too long ago. They’re very cool-looking creatures! 💖💛
Thanks, Samantha. That’s cool you got to see a coyote.
Loved the Coyote… 🙂 those rainbows are Wow.. 🙂 Have a great weekend Tim… ❤
Thanks, Sue.
you’ve got some glorious pics, Tim. esp Godzilla blocking the full moon :}
Thanks, John.
How nice. Unusual for a coyote isn’t it? This one did look sweet.
It is, but some of them get curious. Thanks, Brian.
Probably how dogs got tamed. Some of them got curious.
Be good Tim
Good point. Thanks, Brian.
Wow! on the rainbow and clouds. What an interesting encounter with the coyote.
Thanks, Rebecca.
The coyote really does look like that’s what he would be saying. Love the rainbow shots. It must have been breathtaking to look up and see that. Hugs.
The rainbow was beautiful. Laurie accused me of making people feel sorry for coyotes. Thanks, Teagan.
LOL, well, I admit that I did feel sorry for him. But he looks like he’s doing okay.
What rainbows!
Thanks, Geoff.
Seems like Jake is adjusting well to his new home. But I hope you don’t wind up with a pet coyote
We almost ended up with a pet coyote when Wile E Coyote was hanging out with us, long before Jake. He’s disappeared. Thanks, JYP.
That does look like Godzilla!
Thanks, Dawn.
What did Jake think of the Coyote? The are a definite concern out here with our little guys – they don’t realize how outmatched they really are and afraid the little one would try to take one on not knowing they tend to move in multiples. I must say the one you found looks pretty cute for a certified killer.
Jake just acted interested in the coyote as the coyote was interested in Jake. Jake would have chased him if I told him to. Coyotes like little dogs and cats. Thanks, Brian.
No words for that sky, Tim. Amaaaazing. Awww I always wish they could be friends❣️💕
Thanks, Cindy
That coyote looks very unsure … be great if they could be pals
Haven’t seen the coyote lately. Thanks, Julie.
