Silence From The Frogs Featuring Teagan

Silence From The Frogs (Featuring Teagan Riordain Geneviene on Vocals)

Teagan was gracious enough to lend her beautiful voice to another of my original songs, Silence From The Frogs. I first published Silence Of The Frogs as a poem in 2017 while blogging on T & L Photos. I made the poem into a song in the summer of 2022. I first published the song with my vocals in February 2023. Teagan’s voice is a vast improvement over mine.

The tree trimmers cut the branch that fell on the powerline off the powerline but left it in the bamboo, still pulling down on the phone line. I have to duck under the phone line when I go out and in the gate. The tree trimmers worked late into the night, trimming the trees back from the powerlines and cutting the fallen branch off of it.

  1. Oh my, this is a beautiful and unique song Timothy. Teagan has a gorgeous voice ! I love this. The video is perfect . Of course the sunset , Loki, etc did not go unnoticed. Bravo to you both. Well done

  2. Wow, Tim — that was an amazingly fast turn around with the song. You’re a wonder-worker for sure. Thank you for letting me sing and sharing it here. I’ll share this post as my mid-week post, probably on Wednesday.
You’ve got to be kidding about the phone line — yeesh! That storm just keeps taking another bite. I’m sorry. It looks like Loki wants to cheer you up though. Hugs.

    • It’s not our phone line. The tree trimmers probably didn’t see it in the late-night darkness. Thanks again for singing another song for me. I worked hard to come up with that bassline.

      • Seriously, it’s one of the best basslines I’ve ever heard. I used to listen to Clapton (with Cream) or rather whomever the bass on Stormy Monday repeatedly, just listening to the bass.
Glad it wasn’t your phone. 🙂

        • Thanks, Teagan. People often take the bassline for granted, and the bass players go unappreciated. I remember Lavinia sent me a link to a song that she liked the guitar on, but it was the bass in the song that blew me away. I looked up the bass player (I forget his name now), and he had been a session player with 17,000 records he had played on throughout his career. I asked Leland Sklar, another great session player, if he had crossed paths with the other bass player when he was younger. He said they had been to the same building a few times, but he had never had the pleasure to meet the guy.

  3. I loved this!!! You and Teagan do wonderful work together.
Of course I loved all the pics too.
What a complex -and fun – post!

  4. Another great song and performance from you both! It’s always a pleasure to hear your musical adventures, Tim. The combination with Teagan is perfect!

  5. What a beautifully rich voice Teagan has! Beautifully done!

The photos are of course fabulous. And that is a pain, having to duck under the wire. Hopefully that has since been rectified?

  6. Teagan sounds great, Tim! I adore her strong confident, voice.

Your song is a lot of fun, as is the video. Fab teamwork. Well done!

I look forward to your next collaboration.

…and thanks for all the great pics!

  9. what gorgeousness you two. Awesome. This has gifted me beauty at the start of the day. Everything about this is beautiful. Thanks. Bless you in all your creativity. You rock! 👏🏽

  10. Did you get a bad storm that caused all the lines to go down/sag? We have had some wicked wind storms at home over the last couple of months, but luckily all the lines around our part of the countryside are buried (one of the key requirements we had when looking for property to build our home.

    • High winds broke off a large branch from a cottonwood. Unfortunately, all the power is on poles in Corrales. Thanks, Brian.
