    • We have not had a very hot summer. And the thunderstorms in the afternoon cool us down quickly. Thanks, Heidi.

      • This summer was less dry and hot as the two years before, but had its hot peak temperatures, people and nature are not used around here. Luckily there was enough rain (elsewhere in Germany, Austria and Switzerland too many) instead of drought this summer.

          • I guess, your hot period is lasting longer than around here. Usually, with the beginning of September we are done with it. The shorter hot season was one of the reasons, why we moved from the hotter area in the east of Austria near Hungary back north.

  1. A beautiful slice of life in Nature, Tim. Your Painter has created some magnificent clouds, and that striking moth looks like what we call a hummingbird moth up here. Hummingbird and lizard beautiful captures, too.

Handsome Silver is looking pleased with himself, and that exercise wheel looks like it has become a good napping spot for lovable characters like Spunk. Do the cats use the wheel for running?

    • Hahaha! Silverdough bread. Take & Bake sourdough bread is really good. It’s pre-baked and vacuum-sealed. You reheat for 8 minutes, and you have fresh sourdough bread. Do you eat sourdough bread? My mom had a sourdough starter that had been handed down and kept going for over 100 years. She used to make a lot of sourdough bread and sourdough pancakes. Thanks, JYP.

      • Your mom’s sourdough starter is really impressive! I eat sourdough bread, but it’s not something I would have the expertise and patience to make myself and it’s not a big thing near me. I don’t think I’ve seen take & bake sourdough in the grocery stores either.

        • I get Take & Bake at Costco. I’ve never seen it in a grocery store, either. Sourdough is pretty much the only white bread we eat. Sourdough has white bread privilege at our house. Otherwise, we eat those lowly multigrain breads.

  2. Egads, that is a big moth.

Silver is adorable, and so is Spunkie-Poo💋. Seeing him like that makes it hard to believe he can be a bad boy.

Thanks for all the neat pics, Tim! x

  3. Silver looks horrified. How funny Tim. I have seen those moths before and they are huge. A great photo of the hummingbird resting. I always love the photo of your land Tim, it is just so beautiful and natural there too. An added bit of beautiful flowers in their glorious colors. So fun to visit here. By the way, I hope that you were happy with the way your vision was after your surgery?

    • My eyes are good, but I’m still trying to get a correct glasses prescription after the surgery. The doctor entered the wrong numbers for the prescription, and it took a while to get a new appointment to recheck my eyes.

    • He is on the larger side of life. He has a cat wheel he needs to learn to run on. Thanks, David.

    • Silver loves Alice Cooper. Similar show to what I saw last October. The drummer was phenomenal, but he gets overshadowed by Nita because she is so cute. We have had quite a few moths this summer. Thanks, Brian.
