No. He only kills them every night and leaves them where they will ward off evil spirits. It’s his nightly ritual. It’s a game for us to find them. He sometimes kills them during the day, too. Every once in a while, he leaves them in bed with us. He also kills his tail in a similar ritual. He announces his kills in a singsong wail similar to a flamenco singer. Spunk takes care of us.
A beautiful set of photos to start the day, Tim! Spunk has his basic Spunkitude look on, and that orange, wild-haired sunset over the Sandias was very beautiful! Sunrise in a multilevel cloud sky is gorgeous, too. What is the temperature like down there now? We are heading into some warmer weather for a few days up here.
He has shredded some of Laurie’s striped clothes. He hasn’t attacked anyone, but the other cats. I don’t have any striped clothing. I wear all black all the time. It makes life a little simpler. Thanks, Resa.
Beautiful flowers and beautiful cat. A great combination 🤗
Thanks, Becky.
You’re welcome ☺️
Beautiful 🌹
Thanks, Gabriela.
My pleasure 🌹
Great skies Tim!
Thanks, Brad.

Loving SPunk’s ears and everything else here too.
Thanks, Shey.
The first image is gorgeous as is the lovely Spunk:). I love the beavers.
Thanks, Janet.
I love that last sunset!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Does he ever wear them? Great photos, Tim.

That is too funny! Entertainment…
Another magical day. And in between sunrise and sunset, Spunk, beavers and bouquets bring smiles.
A little bit of everything. Thanks, Marina.

Glad to hear the beavers are doing well, too.
Spunkitude lood, I love that!
Thanks, Inchie! 🙂
Welcome. Lavinia. Thank you.
It might have hit 100 in Albuquerque today. Laurie said the high out here was 97. It was 95 when I got home at 5. Thanks, Lavinia.
Always enjoy wispy cirrus clouds at sunset.
Thanks, Brad.
I thought I caught a similar sunset the other day, but not a patch on those taken by Tin, in the USofA! Great selection, Tim.
Thanks, Inchie.
Spending a day at your house, from sunrise to sunset is a wonderful experience, Tim!!!
Thanks, Rebecca.
Gorgeous bookend shots, Tim.
Ohh, that Spunkie-Poo 💋. He seems to like tiger stripes?
Has he ever shredded a striped shirt, or attacked someone in a striped top?

Lol.. so, stripes it is.
I wear black and sometimes white shirts. I agree, makes it more simple.
I still love designing with colour, though. xx
Designing with all black would be boring.
… unless it was for Johnny Cash!(well, when he was alive) xx
True on all accounts.

Beautiful shots, Tim. 💓
Thanks, Cindy.
Was there some other creature once attached to those ears that looked at Spunk the wrong way and got hollowed out?
Possibly. Thanks, Brian.
