GHO’s have incredible power in the rings to lift critters that weigh many times what the owls weigh. They also have incredibly powerful grips. In the video of the post where an owlet takes a taste of a stink bug, after it flies into the tree, you see it take a last gulp as it swallowed a lizard mama owl had given it. I spared the audience the unpleasant details of the owlet chomping down the lizard: https://wp.me/p1yQyy-5fJ
A beautiful series, Tim! That is one very gorgeous yellow rose. Sunsets and dusk captivating as always.
The painter does great work, even by moonlight.
Jumpin’ Jehoshaphat. That lizard is unexpectedly… portly. But don’t tell her I said so. Besides, I’m the last one who should talk. I haven’t seen any that big here. Happily. Although I’m sure they’re around, that size and bigger.
Love this dramatic shots.
That lizard reminds me of the gecko my son had 🙂
It is a bit gecoie. Thanks, Dale.
Right? 🦎
Shey’s tree is looking wonderfully dark. Great pics.
And it was dark out. We walked up on a pack of crooning coyotes. Laurie thought we were being a bit silly. Thanks, Shey.
Nothing like being a bit silly.
Sweet lizzie and ah, those paintings!
Sweet Lizzie needs a guitar and a halestorm. Thanks, Marina.
Yep!
Shey’s Tree is looking lovely at dusk.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
The lizard is so cute. Another friend for you! ☺️
I love the little lizards. They are shy with lots of other critters trying to make a mean out of them. Thanks, Becky.
Hopefully Nora and Walter won’t see him. Or else- munchie munchie.
Or Do owls eat lizard?
Great Horned Owls eat anything that’s the size of a large rabbit or smaller. I’ve seen mama owls bring lizards to the owlets.
Really? Wow!

Happy Caturday. Hugs.
It’s well fed, that;s for sure. Thanks, Teagan.
I meant to add that the reflections in the irrigation are fabulous too.
Thanks, Teagan. It caught my attention.
Wow! The trees (that I grabbed) came in thick and gorgeous. I can barely tell my tree from the rest. Its foliage is foilaging! xx
Your tree is all leaved out. Thanks, Resa.
All are beautiful but the last picture took my breath away. Beautiful!
Thanks, Nancy.
