Lady Banks
Linda and Herman. Don’t look at the last photo. It’s of a SsssNaKe!

Harleys in the parking lot

Lady Banks

We got out to the owls late. Walter and Willa were looking for Nora and peeping a lot.

As it got darker, Walter (on the left) started turning into a Yeti.

The Big Dip!

• ~WARNING!~ • ~WARNING!~ • ~DANGER!~ • ~DANGER!~ • SsssNaKe Ahead!

“SssNaKe? EeeeK! Oh! Are you talking about me?
I stopped and took this large Bullsnake off the road while I was riding this afternoon.

Walter has grown a lot already!
Lady Banks is lovely! At the NMCC an Austrian Copper is blooming. It looks to have a fair amount of winter die off compared to last year, but it is still an eye catching site, especially in the corner of the parking lot. Mermaid looks like she will put out a good bloom before long, remarkable because she had virtually no care last year. I love seeing the species and old garden roses.
The owls are adorable!
Thanks, Susan. I haven’t been by NMCC for awhile. Steier kept cancelling appointments. I was referred to someone else who I see next month.
Wow that’s a huge snake! It was nice of you to move it!
The Big Dipper photos are phenomenal! Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks, Becky.
I won’t do an Indaina Jones moment re that snake! Seriously these are lovely, especially the sky ones
Thanks, Shey. It’s a cute snake.
I believe yah.
Thanks for the warning…!! I prefer the owls and the cats…
You’re welcome. Figured I put the snake last with warnings so you could safely see the the rest of the photos.
Brave and kind thing to do.
Thanks, Couriers.
You are such a kind one to the wildlife around you. I love that you have the cojones to move that snake rather than have it get run over. Walter and Willa are really growing!
Love the yellow blooms – so bright and cheery.
I’ve handled snakes all my life. So no problem moving him off the road. Thanks, Dale.
I know you do. Plus you have one so… you’re not askeered like some of us! 😉
I hope Nora brought the owlets back something tasty. I love the Lady Banks (the snake not so much).
Me too. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Brave of you Tim to move the snake. I like the owlet photos. It’s nice to see them progressing towards flight feathers . . . someday.
They are growing quickly. Thanks, Brad.
The owlets are soooooo gorgeous…..and the snake….well fascinating but i don’t think I could pick it up…..All the pics are marvellous.
Thanks, Janet.
Coincidentally, I’ve been looking at snakes to familiarize myself with them! There are snakes where we’re going to live and I have to be able to distinguish a viper! 😱 Your Bullsnake [how sweet of you] is really nice. Great Big Dipper and love Yeti Walter!
ps that’s a lot of Harleys!
You have some interesting snakes in Greece There are several vipers. The Horned Viper and the Ottoman Viper have highly toxic venom so you want to learn to distinguish those two. Thanks, Marina.
A horned viper is the one [other than harmless snakes] in the area and I’m more worried about our doggies. I hear they’re not interested in attacking unless provoked. I’ll get some solar repellents by the fence.
You don’t want your dogs to get bitten, that’s for sure.
Nooooooooo!!!!!!
We have rattlesnake vaccines for dogs that help them survive rattlesnake bites. Is there anything like that in Greece?
We have antidote vaccines but you have to be very fast reaching the vet. I don’t think one can have it at home like atropine or cortisone shot for other emergencies.
Antivenom tends to be very expensive, and depending on the bite, more or less has to be given. It’s not something you keep at home unless you keep venomous snakes.
…which I don’t intend to! Hopefully the solar repellents will keep them away!
Those were a load of brand new Harleys. When I was photographing them at 7:00 am, a guy pulled up in a truck and said he would be moving them. He said he tried to deliver them to the Harley dealer next door, but he could not get a hold of anyone who could open the gate. So he unloaded them in our parking lot and sent the truck on its way. I told him I was photographing them because they looked cool, not for evidence, and there was no problem using our parking lot. Few people park there anyway. He had them all moved by 8:00 am.
Well, it was a good use of your parking space! 😉
That is a mighty huge snake!!! The snapshots of the flower tree, bikes, owls and sunsets are super cool! 😎💕
Thanks, Samantha.
Wonderful photo’s Tim, of course I’m loving all those Harleys! Is that a rattler? Yikes!
It’s a bullsnake. It’s harmless. All brand new Harleys. Thanks, Holly.
I still wouldn’t want to have him in my pathway!
Great photographs. Love the bikes and the snake. The moon looks very cool, I’m sure she’d like the shot. The baby owlets are adorable and so fluffy.
Thanks, Gigi. A lot of new Harleys and a beautiful, but unhappy snake.
I do love snakes. I don’t know the dangerous ones from the non dangerous ones, since we don’t really have snakes in Chicago anymore, but my son had a boa and she was wonderful.
I’ve had many different snakes all my life. My 24 year old boa is quite large.
That is so wonderful!!!
I posted photos of me with my boa tonight.
I LOVED them. Wonderful. You both look fabulous. A real treat. Can’t thank you enough.🤗
That makes us all happy. You are welcome.
🤗
Those little owls are too cute! You did a good job of capturing the looks on their faces. Beautiful flowers and sunset photos. That snake doesn’t look like its happy.
The snake was not happy. Thanks, Rebecca.
That is a very handsome bullsnake. How id Blue doing these days? Lady Banks is one beautiful rose.
I enjoy seeing those owlets. Nora and Osric must have been out hunting.
Blue got a rat on Sunday. She is fat and happy. Thanks, Lavinia.
Lady Banks is so beautiful and so are all of your other pics.. especially the ssssSnake, Tim! Hope your friends got a jump and a laugh. What a beauty💕
Thanks, Cindy.
💓💓
All wonderful shots, Tim.
Why are all those Harleys in the parking lot? xo
A truckload of Harleys came in, but the guy could find anyone to open the gate to the Harley deal next door. So he unloaded them in our parking lot and sent the truck on its way. He had them moved before 8 am. Thanks, Resa.
Cool!!!
And here’s me stuck indoors nowadays. Get out to the see the medics sometimes, but its hard work. Thus I do appreciate your efforts to show us such a variety of life over there, mate. The owls and furries are delicious that you take and post. Thanks Tim.
It’s really sad that you are stuck indoors. The photos from your walks showed glimpses of your world that were quite marvelous. At least you can still get good photos of the sky from your confines. I’m happy I can give you a view of my side of the world. Thanks, Inchie.
Much appreciated, Tim.
Made a hook shot and got out through the concessions stands
I hollered up at [Linda]
I said, “Don’t look, [Linda]!”
But it was too late, she’d already got a free shot
Grandstandin’, right there [on] front of the [web page].
Linda came in the room as I had already scrolled past the warning … she ain’t happy Tim hehehehe. That is one big specimen yikes.
A SssTreaky SsssNake! Sorry I can’t help her bad timing. She might as well meet Blue all wrapped around me now. Thanks, Brian.
