Mad Dogs @ Bedtime

Loki: “Il Paparazzo sta per morire!”

Spunk: “Boy, I say boy, pay close attention to me ’cause you’re a burrito short of a combination plate.”†

Loki: “You’re bothering me, boy!”

Spunk: “Wait ’till you turn off the light, Paparazzo!”

Meet the new snake. Same as the old snake.††

Nice reflection this afternoon.

Cottonwoods in the bosque turned red at sunset.

Sunset looking north from the top of the levee.

†Foghorg Leghorn quote.

††Juvenile Bullsnake: I moved him from the top of the levee so he wouldn’t get run over by the cyclists who were behind me.

  1. The cats are looking great, and I love their expressions! Thanks for moving the snake to safety. A handsome fellow. Skies, bosque and reflections all beautiful.

    • Thanks, Lavinia. The Bullsnake was a feisty little guy about 2.5 feet long. The cyclist behind me were an elderly couple on electric bikes. I’m sure they would not have seen the snake lying across the track.

    • I’m still alive this morning. But the cats went a bit medieval on me after I turned out the light. But then they settled down and piled up on me and we were all cozy together. Thanks, Marina.

  2. I can tell by the cat’s expressions they were not happy to be 1) bothered or 2) photographed. Fun portraits though.

  3. Gotta love Foghorn Leghorn! What a lovely fellow you are to protect that snake. And yes, those reflections are outstanding!
Cats are telling you how it is!

  4. Give’em hell Spunk!! Linda would like clarification on what “moved” means in context to that Bullsnake. I told her she doesn’t want to know hehehehe as it probably involved some form of touch and potentially a quick cuddle before releasing it to the safer spot.

    • It took a bit of manhandling to move the snake. It was very feisty and struck at me several times during the move. Thanks, Brain.
