A Change of Scene

Sunrise as seen from the same as it ever was scene.

Tristan’s funky chickens at the Solstice party. Chickens may be fowl, but they know how to party.

Drama in the southern sky.

Orange in the western sky.

Venus and the moon riding a black dragon.

  1. Gorgeous shot of my tree…erm I mean sunrise. 😉
Those sure are pretty chickens. Are they like Tristan’s pets?
That fire sky looks like a Deep Purple song.
All great shots, Tim, thank you!

    • But no smoke on the water. They don’t like to be handled, but they follow Tristan around like she’s the alpha chicken. She should starting getting eggs pretty soon. Thanks, Resa.

          • Love that video! Hysterical take on the Talking Heads song.
Hey, did you know there’s a new Weird Al bio-pic. He was involved in its making.
It’s supposed to be as crazy as him. I haven’t seen it, but I’m going to watch it tomorrow, so I can nominate it for an Emmy!

            • I heard about it but haven’t seen it. Let me know how it is. I love Weird Al. He’s my hero.

                • Hahaha! Rather obvious one would think. BTW. Do you remember Weird Al’s UHF movie? I think I have a DVD of it somewhere.

                  • No, I don’t remember that movie.
Anyway, I found the movie on the Roku Channel (like there aren’t enough channels)
I get to watch everything made/released by any channel or service until September. I get my own secret code.
I can’t and won’t watch everything… there isn’t time in life. But I will watch this, and get back to you!
                    Crazy.

                    • But still, it’s super cool you get access and that you can nominate films. UHF is really 80s.

                    • It is supercool. I feel honoured.
Show Time bought me a membership to the ATAS after I had worked on enough their films and had the required screen time to qualify.
It was a great gift, and I have kept my membership up since.
                      Nominating is easy.
If you have seen a show, and think it deserves a nomination… nominate it.

However, when it comes time to vote, you must watch all nominees in a category before you vote for the winner.

Still, I watch everything in the categories I want to vote in.
                      I won’t cheat!

  2. You gotta love chickens! The world may be crumbling and they still party! 😉
In this case your world is putting on quite a show and they don’t seem to care much. I do though… in fact, you’ve made my day! Merci!

  3. These dramatic sky photos are spectacular, Timothy. Fun chicken photos, too. I especially liked the moon/Venus photos on the black dragon. Shadowy and mysterious, really beautiful.

    • Thanks, Jet. We’ve had interesting clouds, but no rain. My weather station has recorded 1/100 of an inch of rain this month.

  4. Those are some really cook chickens, Tristan has! Do they lay coloured eggs?
That sky was on FIAH!! 🔥
That is not a lot of rain… 1/100 of an inch is a mockery, if you ask me.

    • They haven’t started laying yet. i suspect they will. The clouds mock us daily. Thanks, Dale.

      • Oh cool. My cousin used to have a couple of chickens and would gift me regularly of eggs. I miss those days!
        The clouds are so cruel.

        • We had lots of chickens when I was a kid. Tristan thinks I should get chickens. I don’t want more critters to care for at the moment.

  5. I enjoy those sky scenes, Tim. They are beautiful. I like Tristan’s chickens. Yes, more critters add to the daily care load, even if they do gift eggs in return. Other wild critters are always trying to eat them, too.

    • Keeping chickens safe out here would be more work than their general care. Thanks, Lavinia.
