    • Thanks, Lavinia. The tree died recently, probably of old age exasperated by drought. I rarely walk north on that part of the ditch except occasionally in the summer when the trees have leaves. Now that I have to walk under the tree to visit the owls, its interesting shape stands.

  1. I love serendipity, Tim. Just this morning, my quote for the day was by Rabindranath Tagore:

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”

    • That’s mostly waht clouds do out here. My rain gage show zero precipitation for the month of April. The clouds have offered lots of color. Thanks, Rebecca.

    • Those old lines do get in the way. But you can get sunset toeing the line. Thanks, Tiffany

  2. Amazingly intricate trees – look like two Ents fighting over ownership of the path.. or maybe over who gets the photographer ha.
