Kitties Conflate

Loki and Gwendolyn

Kitties conflated
Tangled mess of tails and toes
Two cats into one

When a half-moon blurs
Becomes a ball, a cold sun
Sits eternal blue

From time’s space, she saw
Vibrant sky wore lacy trees
Venus winked, skies blushed

  1. That is a great photo of Loki and Gwendolyn and TimCatKu! We had a crystal clear day up here so I saw the moon against blue in afternoon, too. Black lace trees against a colorful sky are always favorites of mine.

  2. Your TimKus are unparalleled, my friend! Combined with your images… pure joy!
Kitties remind me of a Blackadder scene when Baldrick says: “Master I saw a horse with two heads and two bodies”!!!!!

  3. those 2 are a cute tangled couple. Are they siblings?
Your pics as always are amazing! 💞 and love this Tim!!!

    • Thanks, Cindy. They are not siblings. Glenda and Gwendolyn are siblings, however. I’m happy you like the poem.

      • All three of our black cats look a lot alike. I can Loki by his shorter, coursing feeling fur. Glenda and Gwendolyn are very difficult to tell apart until they meow at me. They have distinctive meows. That’s how I know it was Gwendolyn with Loki. She had to comment on me photographing them.

      • hahaha and distinct personalities as well I see. It’s hard to tell them apart in the pics. It’s amazing how different their personalities are! 🐈🐈‍⬛🐕‍🦺🐈‍⬛

  4. Great photos, Timothy ~ one of your lines reminds me of an Eddie Vedder song (Hard Sun) from the Into The Wild album:
    When a half-moon blurs
Becomes a ball, a cold sun
    Sits eternal blue

And your final photos show the comfort the sun can bring. In the last shot, a piece of beautiful lace nature teases us with and leaves us blushing 🙂

  5. Hmmm, I know the adage about a single black cat walking across your path, what kind of horrors await you if you walk under TWO black cats (in said tangled mess of appendages)?

    • Black cats are actually good luck, but the kitties said they could come up with some great tortures to play on your stereotype of them. Thanks, Brian.
