  1. It’s great how you can manage to take shots of the owl in that light, brilliant really.
The Mallards… Great. Thanks for putting them on Tim, my favourite ducks. Helped make up for my inability to get to see, feed and talk to them, nowadays. Cheers!

  2. WOWLA………. you know my middle grandie, loves owls,. You want to see the amount of toy ones she has. Give her anything owl related and she is over the moon. She calls them Owlies.

  3. We think we have a Daddy Owl nearby because we hear an owl-like sound from time to time, but we haven’t spotted him yet. Any owls in the area have some great places to hang out without setting up shop in the trees on our street. Still, somebody is out there making that noise!

  4. Love the owl! It’s curious, but I haven’t been hearing them the last few nights maybe they’re being sneaky lol.

Always good to see the U bunny and the U Duck couple.

Love observing the journey through the day depicted through color and landscapes.

  5. It was good to see one of your owl’s again, Tim. The Sandias and river are particularly beautiful.

UNM has plenty of wildlife! Have they had any influx of rattlesnakes this year? I know someone in AZ who had been getting a lot of rattlesnake visitors. They seemed to be looking for a cool place during the extreme heat, as well as water.

    • I would be surprised to find a rattlesnake on campus. Rattlesnakes tend to stay on the west mesa and the foothills of the Sandias. I did not see any working on Tristan House before it sold. She got rattlesnakes visitors over the years. Thanks, Lavinia.

  6. […] Later, I was trying to take some photos of the night sky, but my efforts were rather dismal; As you can see here, Tsk! AS I was taking them, Carer Ejaz arrived on his last call. And came to the rescue, taking this one on his super-camera’d mobile phone. I read that Tim Price uses a cell phone. He takes many great night shots with his camera. https://offcenternoteven.com/2025/10/16/owl-sighting/#comment-153634 […]
