Yes… I’m about 30 miles from downtown LA. The riot area is very small. There’s sooo much BS about the protesters & rioters, but nothing about how many people were instantly deported, shipped to remote holding facikities (within Calif), and “missing” – even lawyers can’t find them.
I wish I could participate but my disabilities mean that I’d be more hindrance than help and at extreme risk of getting seriously hurt.
Over the weekend, I saw a flyer for a local protest tomorrow night, but I’m unsure of its current status.
They feds are serious about taking folks out. Stay safe.
700 Marines were supposed to arrive in LA today but I haven’t seen were thet were deployed. Minus some power hungry agents (like the one who clearly intentionally shot the AU reporter), most of the activity against protesters has been limited (mainly blocking buildings) and only escalating after rioters got active.
So far, no military presence in Long Beach.
No Kings day is gonna be interesting.
