  1. Wow. The 2nd & 3rd ‘camo dog’ pics look like there’s two lighting sources. Like the sun is setting to the right, but more light behind you illuminating the trees, and doggie.

    • It is interesting. The camera adjusts the light on Jake and the tree for the lower light on them compared to the sky. On the screen, a rectangle selected Jake and lighted the exposure on him, which also lightened the tree, compared to the sky. It’s amazing what phone cameras do these days.

        • I do have a lot of professional gear. However, when the iPhone 13 Pro came out with LIDAR, it really improved my low-light photography. The iPhone replaced two cameras and their lenses, so I have used the Bazooka lens for birds and wild animals. I have used the iPhone for most of my photos for almost three years, and I have used it for all of my photos for the past couple of months.

If I were photographing a car race, I would use my professional equipment, as I can capture up to 10 frames per second to ensure I don’t miss any action.

  2. Gasp! Tim, those golden hues are stunning. If Jake starts trying to get Laurie and you to redecorate with those colors, you’ll know he’s ready to hide from the cats. It looks like Belafonte has at least made friends (sort of) with Silver. He, Gwendolyn and Glenda are looking gorgeous. Caturday hugs.

    • I don’t think Jake peed on your tree. He likes peeing on tumbleweeds. I tell him he will get stickers on his pee shooter, but he really likes peeing on tumbleweeds. Maybe he’s a dogomasochist.

      • Maybe..or he could be really smart.
Why have your scent ala pee in only 1 spot?
The tumbleweed spreads it around. Jake increases his territorial advantage, exponentially!

        • You are right. With those tumbleweeds blowing far and wide, his territory becomes immense. Jake was here, even though he wasn’t there.

          • Yes!
“They seek him here, they seek him there
            Those doggies seek him everywhere.
Is he in heaven or is he in hell?
            That damned elusive Peepernel”

                  • Taken!

                    Chapter 1

Jake, the resident dog of the Price Estates, casually pees on a tumbleweed. This is now not an ordinary Tumbleweed. It is a Peebleweed.

A huge gust of wind tears through the Corrales Cottonwoods, catches the Peebleweed and sends it on its way to Canada.

Its mission: locate the shrub in Fairy Parkette around the corner from Resa’s, get snarled in it, and spread the words, the scentence.

Jake pretends not to notice, as he hops into the car next toTim. To Tim, Jake is just a friendly dog, beloved by all Tim’s co-workers.
Yet to all the stinking world, he is known as “The Golden Peepernel”!

  3. I especially loved the no cranes tonight river scene. You live in such a beautiful area!

Jake blends right in with the dried grass. Always enjoy seeing the kitties, too. Burdie Belafonte seems to be making himself right at home.
