Adventures of A Cosmo Dog

Pre-dawn

Jake

Oriana and Celina like to walk Jake down to Starbucks and get him a Pupachino. Normally, not much happens other than Jake gets lots of attention from strangers, which he loves, and between all the attention, the walk, and the Pupuchinos, he is worn out. When they brought Jake back this afternoon, he was wound up.

The story goes that on the way to Starbucks, Oriana dropped Erma’s card she was to use to pay for Erma’s order. When Oriana discovered she didn’t have the card, she ran back to the office to see if she left it at the office and then started looking for it on her way back to Starbucks.

Meanwhile, Jake got excited by all the commotion about the missing card, and Oriana taking off to run back to the office and pulled himself free from Celina. Celina said that instead of running after Oriana, Jake ran around the Starbucks building and ran up to the drive-up window, presumably to order another Pupachino. Celina extracted Jake from the drive-up window and met Oriana, who had not found Erma’s card.

On the way back to the office to tell Erma they had lost her card, Jake stopped to sniff and roll, and there was the card where Jake had stopped. They ran back to Starbucks, got Erma’s order, and ordered Jake another Pupachino as a reward for finding the card. All in the day in the life of a Cosmo Dog!

          • Well okay…we broke very hot tub rule going and flooded a downstairs bedroom. Ut was the oldest grandie’s bedroom and we were tired telling him that just cos his uncle said put water on the sauna ..which we also had…he never said pour buckets on. But there seeing was believing when his mam called him down. I was glad to see my words to him about ‘Well…. so long as that water isn’t running rhrough anyone’s ceiling, this was fine…’ were prophetic.

            • Oh and did I mention one of the sofas. It got some drinks spilt on it and as the girls were tossing up re who would go report it to reception, as we were leaving…. (largely cos the younge rone had been the one to complain when we all arrived re the lodge not being ready …. oh and she got us free drinks out of it…) anyway as they were tossing up, I sorted matters by lifting the seat and turning it over.

            • There are hot tub rules? Of course, you would have to break them. As long as the flooding is downstairs, all is fair in love and floods.

When we were in Santiago de Compostela with Laurie’s brother, we had a really cute pension with an open shower. Laurie’s brother couldn’t figure out how the shower worked and got water everywhere but on himself.

  1. Jake is a busy dog! He looks handsome in pink lighting. I can picture him racing around and around the Starbucks. Lots of excitement for him today.

Dawn comes late these days. I think NM goes back on Standard Time on November 3rd?

I love the dark backgrounds in the flower photos, and the candles. The orange-gold glow on the mountains, river and sky is a beautiful end to the day.

  2. Hahahaha!

    Love this story Tim.

Do you think Jake stopped where he did because he could smell the girls on the card?

    Fabulous!

    Oh.. love the shots.

  3. Now a credit card sniffer is a talent you could leverage into some big bucks! Don’t tell my dogs you can get Pupachinos, we are already unable to pass the golden archs without them going absolutely bonkers for fries.

    • Apparently, when Jake went to the front of the line in the drive-up lane, the barista and the driver found him adorable. Jake doesn’t know about the golden arches. Thanks, Brian.
