Sunsets & Tufted Tits

Sunrise

Titmouses: “Who are you calling ‘Tufted Tits?’ Poofy Paparazzo of penurious perception! Are we even Titmouses?”
Paparazzo: “I’m simply being alliterate and making a clever title. You look close enough to Tufted Titmouses with your tufts down for the titillating title, and a pair of cute birds like yourselves (Tits or not) are always popular. Plus, if people think they are going to see a pair of Tufted Tits, curiosity will generate lots of clicks! So there’s no need to get your mousies in a muddle.”
Titmouses: “Well. I guess we can’t argue with the logic behind your questionable title and advertising for clicks. But you’re still a poofy Paparazzo of penurious perception!”
Paparazzo: “Talking about alliterate!”

    • When it comes to Timkus, tits, and alliteration, I speak all kinds of foolishness. Thanks, Brad.

    • BTW. While searching for titmouses, I came across photos of birds I took a couple of years ago that I couldn’t identify back then. Merlin identified them as Wood Pewees. Have you seen Wood Pewees in your area?

  1. A beautiful selection from dawn to dark, Tim.

For a while we had a lot of doves visiting the feeder up here. Since they left I have not seen the Cooper’s Hawk. We have sparrows, chickadees and starlings for the most part now. A few jays, and I hear a crow or two.

    • We saw five Cooper’s Hawks on our noontime walk around the block (1 mile) on Monday. Thanks, Lavinia.

  2. Suffering succotash, Timothy!
I must be alliterate, but I’ve never
heard of a Tufted Tit. Here down
under, in Australia, I’m sure a
Tufted Tit would be a big hit.
    Perhaps a companion for our
    Bearded Dragon? Hopefully no
    Tasmanian devil would first try
to eat it, as that would be terrible
for a visiting American Tufted Tit!

    • I love your clever comment. I believe there might be many dangers for a Tufted Tit in Australia. Bearded Dragons are quite popular over here, and people are getting Salmonella from them, too, since they are such loveable and kissable lizards. I know Tasmanian Devils are not like the adorable character Loony Tunes created, but I read they were suffering from a devastating virus. Thanks, David.

  3. The poor Tassie Tiger is being
struck down by a social disease,
but I’m sure Elton John is not to
    blame 🤔🕶️
I once had a pet bearded dragon,
    but thankfully I refrained from
kissing it, as Smaug wasn’t as cute
    as a Tufted Tit 💋 😎
