Redwing Blackbirds

Willa-Cat-Her pussyfootin’ across our property.

Wile E. Coyote left Wile Etta Coyote behind.

What is Osric Owl looking at?

A pesky Cooper’s Hawk chattering at him like a monkey.

Nora Owl peers out from her nest.

Osric Owl keeping an eye out and hooting a status report.
WOW! Love them all.
Thanks, Cindy.
I love all the birds. And the floof-monster kitty!
Thanks, Leenda.
I like all these animal-captures looking quiet before some action might happen.
Thanks, Leenda.
These are lovely TImothy. All my favorites too.
“Blackbirds and coyotes, hawks high on peyote. Cat’s pussyfootin’ and wowls who are hootin'” Those are a few of Shey’s favorite things. Thanks, Shey.
Fantastic pictures, congrats.
Thanks, RJ.
Blackbirds joy, kitty tip-toeing, Wile E. and Wile Etta Coyote happy couple walk, Osric Owl chatting with Cooper’s Hawk and giving a report to Nora Owl. All’s well in paradise!
“Kitties tip-toeing and blackbirds a snoring. Wile E a walking and a Cooper’s Hawk talking.” Those are a few of Marina’s favorite things. Thanks, Marina.
i just love all these names you’ve come up with
reminds me of beatrix potter’s books
Jemina duck and Timmy Tiptoes is “a little fat comfortable grey squirrel are some of her characters.
Willa- Cat, I love her name
I love Beatrix Potter, and I’m nowhere as clever as she was. Thanks, abvr.
Me too, I spent hours with her books.
You good Timothy.
You are welcome
I love your reports from the bosque, Tim.The photos are beautiful. I can picture you walking about and interviewing the residents.
That Willa cat has some striking markings. She looks like a big kitty, too.
Willa is fluffy, but not big like Silver and Loki. Thanks, Lavinia.
It’s a neighbourhood party is what it is!!
Party animals! Thanks, Dale.
That they are!
Awesome shots from the bosque!
Thanks, Tiffany.
Pretty darn cool. Lots of entertainment in your neck of the woods.
Never a dull moment. Thanks, Nancy.
Lots of critter activity to enjoy and a fun set of photos.
Thanks, Rebecca.
What a wonderful post. Loved all the beauties.
Thanks, Gigi.
😊
Holy Hannah, that’s a lot of blackbirds, Tim. All the critters seem to be pretty active. I guess it’s just that spring is in the air (despite the wintry turn of the temperatures for a few days). Hugs.
Spring fever is in the air. Thanks, Teagan.
That’s a lot of redwing blackbirds in one place! I’ve only seen them one, maybe two, at a time. I like how you caught the hawk in mid-chatter.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
You have lots of company there, Tim. I like that hawk captured in the midst of conversation also.
Thanks, Bruce.
lot’s of catting around I expect witht he birds in full force, Tim. So is Wile E & Wile Etta an item now? 💓
Thanks, Cindy.
Man, I love all this animal activity! What a great spot you’re in.
So, I threw a bunch of stale bread out onto the flat roof behind my kitchen window. When Jeep saw all the grackles, she went nuts. The 2 of us stood at the window (bonding) making racket for about 10 minutes.
That’s about it for the animal activity here. xo
That’s some fun critter activity. Thanks, Resa.
Yeah…. xxx
Super collection Tim!
Thanks, Julie.
I can say without question that Cooper’s is out gunned when it comes to that GHO. They’ll take out a Eagle if it looks at them cross-ways the Coops don’t come close to the Eagle’s capabilities. Cute cat, assume it isn’t one of yours..maybe looking for a play date. It might want to stay away from Wile E. Coyote though.
A Cooper’s hawk swooped down to check out Will-Cat-Her. She ducked for cover. Wile E. keeps himself well fed. I’ve seen Daddy Owl take out a Cooper’s hawk pestering the owlets. I’ve also seen him attack coyotes walking by on the ditch back. That’s why I say we are lucky the owls put up with us. Thanks, Brian.
