    • Contrail shadows are strange, indeed. as they are cast in the air. Shadows normally need a solid or liquid surface. Thanks, Samantha.

  1. Contrails have been really busy, greeting dawn, going to work, chasing the Moon, splitting the Sun…
till sunset. That, they left untouched. The Sandias need no accompaniment! 👌

  2. Have you seen a contrail being followed by a moon shadow yet? 🙂 I enjoy your dawn to dusk series, Tim. That one photo with what I think is condensation on the lens looks almost SciFi, an alien planet with multiple moons and one space jellyfish coming in for a landing.

    • I have not seem a contrail followed by a moon shadow. That would be super cool. I believe what looks like condensation is the windshield in my car. Thanks, Lavinia.

  3. These are all awesome!! I can’t recall if I’ve seen a contrail’s shadow. One would think I wouldn’t forget if I had. Also, I forgot they had a name. Either I’m stupid busy, stupid and busy, or possibly I have early onset dementia. Anyway, thanks for reminding me they have a name. 🙄😁
